Greg went out to pick oranges for fresh squeezed oj. I cooked maple bacon in the oven. So much less mess, and it gets a much more even crispiness this way too. NO CLEANUP. Well, the pan, but not the stove and counter tops!
The bacon was delicious, the eggs were too. The oj was sweet and refreshing, but the buckwheat pannycakes....................
PATOOEY!!!!!!! Now....Greg liked them. But then again, he liked the bread we made with the ancient grain spelt flour. I did NOT! To me, there wasn't enough real Canadian Maple Syrup to make these taste good! I had about two bites and gave mine to him. So, now we know.....cross that off our list. Next time, just plain sourdough pannycakes.

Now you made me crave pancakes and syrup and bacon!! YUMM!!
lolol...years ago when I worked at IHOP and people would order buckwheat pancakes I thought they were nuts....lololo...Im a buttermilk gal...lol..BUT the bacon and eggs, Yummo!
and fresh squeezed OJ, how lucky are YOU!!!!!!
WOW...I have to say I am surprised. I would have thought they would be delicious. Everything else sounds soo good too. If it weren't for this dumb Jenny Craig I'd make a dinner/breakfast tonight. Though my personal fav is cinnamon french toast....Yummm....Oh, it's been soo long. SIGH...
Do you remember Greg eating that meal I brought to him off the airplane when I was just a weee youngster & he gobbled it up?? I've always been fascinated by the amount & the "what" that "Uncle Greg" will eat!! ;)
Although, I too think those pancakes look pretty tasty, I probably would have liked them!
I love Sunday Breakfast!!
looks good to me!
I agree with Kelly, they LOOK delicious! But I'm a bacon and OJ girl, so that would be just enough too!
Thanks for the kind comment about my home :)
Oh those look yummy, too bad you didn't like them too much. The fresh squeezed OJ would have done it for me! Timmy and I made late night pancakes last night, but I went with the good old Aunt J's! Genny told me about putting the bacon in the oven, I can't wait to try it!
Looks good, but I'm not too sure about th buckwheat either. :)
Hey, I'll put syrup over anything.looked great Kris. What all are you doing to the house?
What a wonderful breakfast - I would much rather have this than my bran cereal.
Pancakes for breakfast is a real treat for my family too!
