You are gonna thank me for this. I was blog surfing yesterday, and came across a linky party that had some great blogs to discover. I was intrigued by this post for S'mores snack mix. YUM! Who doesn't love S'mores? I stopped at the market last night and bought the ingredients to make some. You can find the original post here. http://www.nestofposies-blog.com/2011/07/smores-popcorn.html
She gives measurements for the ingredients. Being the non measuring kind of gal that I am, I used that as a suggestion and got to work making these.
I love sweet and salty things mixed. The addition of salty popcorn to this sweet mix is so tasty!
You will need two large bowls to mix the dry ingredients. Then spread out onto cookie sheets. Melt your chocolate chips in the microwave. I did mine for about 3 minutes on power level 6. Stir melted chocolate and drizzle over the dry ingredients.
I used one whole box of Golden Grahams, and one whole bag of mini marshmallows, and two whole bags of popped popcorn, so I needed three cookie sheets, and two bags of chocolate chips. I used one milk chocolate, and one semi sweet. I SO PREFER the milk chocolate with this. It mimics the real taste of S'mores, in my opinion! But the one made with semi sweet will not go to waste!!!!
My taster approves! Oh, and even though you won't be able to keep your paws off of this, do let the chocolate cool and set up before putting into tupperware for storing.
Thumbs up Gamma!!!!
Go make some....you will not regret it!!!! Oh, and Stater Bros. has all of their cereal on sale...way cheap. I am stocking up today!!!

Yum!That sounds really good!
Love this pic of my lil man!
You're the best Gamma EVER, hands down, best. :)
I checked out their ad after I read this & they're having a really good sale actually! Even deodarant & shampoo/conditioner too.
I so want to make these. Have you seen the ones in the canning jars. I have it pinned in some folder. In fact, I could probably just set the cookie sheet outside and it would be done in no time. Today, is the worst so far, but we should break a little tomorrow. It's been really gross here...
OMG what a great mix...i can't wait to make this...I love smores....
This sounds really good and so does that salami/peppericini stuff you posted a couple days back. Good stuff!
Looks yummy....and with a thumbs up from the little man I know it's yummy. :)
That looks SO good! Yum. I'm a non measuring kind of cook too. :)

i made those salami/cream cheese/banana pepper appetizers yesterday and blogged about them last night. We loved them!
Kris, this sounds fabulous. I will have to make it for my family. Hope it is the no calorie version. LOL
I'll be trying this one!!!
Oh dank now I am going to have to make this and gain like 5 lbs. Quinn was lying here by me and saw your grandsons pic and said, "Who is that boy, I love that boy." Awww!
Oh so that's how you make it.
That was YUMMY!
Thank you for sharing! The kids enjoyed snacking on that while they were painting.
I thought you just drizzled that ice cream chocolate that hardens over it all. That stuff might work too, or does that only freeze hard on cold things?
oh my goodness, this sounds really, really good! Thanks for sharing your fun recipe. :-)
Yum! That sure make a LOT...not sure I could be trusted with all of that in the house!
YUM, we'll have to try that, thanks for sharing! Your grandson looks so cute in that last picture, made me smile! XO Liz

HEAVENLY!!! I'm gonna make this for movie night at home. My dad, sis and I LOVED golden grahams growing up, but I can't tell you the last time I had it. You just made me nostalgic and reminded me why I should get some for my kids.
