Famous Cheeseball

All of this talk of the delicious cheeseball from Sharon's Blog has made me hungry. She got the recipe from her friend Cheryl, and it is apparently quite the hit at parties, I am told. So I had a party to go to today, and I thought I would make it. But me, I'm thinking a cheeseball is "so 1970's" so I decide to form mine in the shape of a pumpkin, complete with broccoli stem and green onion tendrils. I served it with thinly sliced pears and a variety of artisan breads and crackers. Sharon, you are right....big hit! YUMMY

Hi Anita,
It was very good and very easy. Just take two cream cheese bricks, soften,(I zapped them in micro to hasten the process) and shredd 1 1/2 cups of any sharp cheese, and use about 1/2 packet of Ranch DRESSING, not dip. I have the big can of Ranch, so I used about 2 heaping tsp. Combine all of that up real well, and roll into ball, or pumpkin, whichever the case may be....and roll in chopped pecans or walnuts. I used pecans. Chill for a couple of hours before serving. YUMMO!!!!!!
