We miss you Dad

This has always been one of my favorite photos of my Mom and Dad. It was taken in Hawaii. I feel that he is watching over us. Mom says that Dad was the architect of our lives. He was, he sure was. Sometimes we feel like a rutterless boat without him being here with us, to guide us along. But the biggest and best lesson of all that he ever taught us, was that family is number one, always, no matter what. Thinking of you today, missing you every day, loving you always, my Daddy dear.

Kris, I'm glad that the poem made you feel better. I know it is so hard having loved ones go before us, but at least we know they are in a better place. I lost my dad when I was 17 and still find myself crying sometimes. They is such a nice picture of your parents.
God Bless,
Ginger

Kris,
I loved your post. I will always remember your dad as our white haired Malibu Ken. All your child hood memories of things your dad did for you has been the basis for my children's memories which they will have forever.

Thinking of you today Mom. I did not realize when I spoke with you this morning that today was the 27th. Sorry I did not say anything. Hope you are okay. I love you.

Yes, it is the lifetime of happy memories that we focus on. For anyone who knew my Dad, he was truly something special. I told Mom yesterday, that is why it is SO hard. He left such a mark on all of our lives, and made each of us better. We'll always miss him, but we'll always have the gift of having had him.
