Big Bear Getaway

Our getaway began with a trip to the hardware store to repair a broken water line to the ice maker in the fridge. Luckily, the water is always turned off when no one is at the cabin. When I turned the water on, it was apparent right away, we had a leak! Ron to the rescue! He knew just what it needed, and how to fix it! What a guy!!!
There was a classic car show up in Big Bear this weekend. It was fun to stand on the corner and watch all of them go back down the hill.
We did a little of this.........
We sat out on the porches and decks....
We watched the blue jays come get their peanuts.
We watched the sun go down over the mountain to reveal purple sunsets on the water.....
Here are Ron and Greg strategizing over their fishing techniques, to catch "Walter."
Sue and Ron preparing dinner on the pontoon boat.
And "Walter" was gooood!!!!
Ron says, "Hey, what is wrong with this picture?"
Now we're talkin'!
Here are Sue and I fishing for Walter, or whoever else may take a nibble on our line.
We enjoyed the fishing, but we mostly enjoyed the quiet atmosphere on the lake as the sun was setting, with great friends.
"Cheers."
One day, Erika and Jeremy and Noah came up to fish and go on a boat ride. Noah helped Geeps drive the boat.
And Jeremy put together his fishing pole that Uncle Raymond got him when he was born so that he could be a fisherman like his Papa.
Ron conducting a little phone business while up in God's Country.
One afternoon, Drew and Diana came up to go fishing with us and have dinner.
Ron and Greg cooking our Tri-Tips on the boat.
More strategizing over how to catch that big one!
We left the boat up there, and will return on Friday for more fun on the lake with the Moore's before Ron has to go in for his back surgery. Hopefully, The Germans will come up too, since Jae is also going in for back surgery in a couple weeks!

Til Friday.........Big Bear and Walter will wait.
