Thirty Years Ago Today........

Thirty years ago today, Greg and I were married. I was barely 19 years old, and Greg was 24, and one semester shy of graduating from Cal State Fullerton. I bet there weren't many who thought we would make it at all, let alone 30 years!! This is us, on our wedding day, dancing the night away at what was one of the best and most fun receptions ever!!! The Fink's can throw a party, just ask anyone who has been to a Fink wedding!
Here we are a couple summers ago, in Maui. We had a wonderful time wth my brother David and his wife Glenda, on what was, surprisingly, our second trip to Hawaii that summer.
This was also a couple summers ago, taken at our favorite place in the world, Bass Lake. This is my all time favorite picture of Greg and I. Even though I am sporting those huge goofy glasses! I had lost mine, and these were a cheap pair I bought at The Forks to get me through the week. No makeup, goofy glasses, crazy hair, but happy, happy, happy, and I think it shows on both of our faces. Love this picture!

Greg was a good friend of my two older brothers, David and Mark. He had been coming around since I was a very young, about 11 or 12. I always had a secret crush on him. But it wasn't until I turned 18 that he took notice of me. In fact, I don't think he even realized his buddies, Dave and Mark HAD a sister!! We had a whirlwind romance, dated less than a year, were engaged after 7 months, and married three months after that! And thirty years have flown by.....SNAP....like that!!! Happy Anniversary Honey! I love you!

Happy Anniversary you too. You look as happy today as you did 30 years ago on your wedding day. I never have asked... where was the reception? Do I see water and palm trees in the background? I have always loved your wedding picture and I agree ... I love the one of you and Greg at Bass Lake. Cuties...

Happy Anniversary, Kris!!

I just saw your comment, at the Back Porch about Photoscape. When you have your photo in editor, look at the bottom of the page for Filter. Click that, then click Pictorialization. There will be a drop down menu of options. Water Painting is the effect that I used. There are several. It's fun to experiment with all the editing options. There are more frame options, also. The backlight gadget is another one I like.
