Father's Day BBQ

Greg's only Father's Day wish was to have all of his children and grandchildren here to the house for a BBQ.  Greg and I have both been somewhat under the weather, so the kids really did all the work.  Gennifer and Jake brought lots of good food to share.  A wonderful macaroni and cheese casserole from our new fav cookbook Pioneer Woman, and also a delicious artichoke dip with blue corn tortilla chips.  YUMMO!  Jake and Drew helped with the BBQing, Hannah set the table, Gennifer brought all the food outside, and did the prepwork for the burgers.  Eri cut up the watermelon and then went to pick up Noah from his Dad's and came back to eat and relax with us, and then she did all the dishes!  Oh, and Drew cleared the tables and brought all the stuff back inside the house, and helped put everything away.  THANK YOU KIDS!
Here is a picture I insisted on snapping before Gennifer and Jake had to leave to take their little sleepy heads home.  I wanted a picture of Greg with his three kids.  Claire got to join in too.
I love, love, love this picture!!!
And one of Greg with his sons.  Son Drew on the right and son in law Jake on the left.
And hey look, little Claire made her way into this one too.  Love it!  Our son Drew is the spitting image of his Dad when he was that age!  So Drew,  you want to know what you will look like in about 40 yrs?  Look at Dad.  Jake could even be his own son.  What a handsome trio!
Drew has a new instrument he was playing.  And of course the kids wanted to play too.  They drummed and they strummed.
Trying to get a picture of Jake with his girls was close to impossible!  This was about the best we could do.
And then we tried to get Mama and the girls...comical to say the least.
And then they knocked her down......
Geeps opening his gifts and getting some good snuggles from his grandkiddos.
I just love the expression on Hannah's face in this one.  You can see her adoration for her Geeps!  And let me tell you, next to Mommy and Daddy....he is number 1!!!!

Noah and Erika made a very special gift for Geeps.  They mixed their own concrete and made a stepping stone, imprinted with Noah's hand and a message.  He loved it!
It was a perfect Father's Day for him.  Happy Father's Day Greg!  You are THE BEST Dad and GEEPS!!!!
XOXO!!!

Hi Kris, Love the celebration yesterday-your hubby is quite a wonderful dad(it shows from the love everyone showers him with). Seeing your son and sil plus the ladies too is wonderful. What a great way to spend the day. The grands are adorable.
We are celebrating tonight with desert and gifts.
Glad to hear everyone helped out and that you are feeling a tad bit better. Keep resting and taking the med's....

Hi Kris,
What precious family photos. I am so looking forward to the day when my daughter tells me that I'm going to be a "Nana". She's been married almost six years so hopefully soon.

Thanks so much for coming by and visiting and leaving me a kind comment. I truly appreciate it and hope you will stop back anytime.
