Granny Stripe

I have rediscovered crochet and I am loving it!  I have been busy these past couple of weeks making garden granny squares, and this week I began a blanket called granny stripe.
Aren't the colors just yummy?
It took me awhile to hunt down the American version of this pattern.  I first saw it on one of my favorite British blogs, and began to make it, only to realize that UK and USA have different abbreviations for crochet.  Now that I have the the correct directions,  I am loving making this stripey blanket in these beautiful colors.
Maui was very interested in this blanket.  She kept trying to get inside the basket.  Silly Maui, this isn't for you!
Looks like I am going to be needing a lot more yarn.

Hi Kris. I had to stop what I was doing when I saw this. Totally, utterly scrumptious!

I, for one, am soooooo glad you found your true passion again. Isn't it fun to live in a world of color. What yarn is this? And yes, I'm thinking by the looks of it, another ball of each is going to be need. Keep us posted.

By the way, I'm in heaven this morning on the new computer. Speed Demon. Had to stick with the Microsoft, as I'm the Geek Squad for all the Seniors, a job I didn't really want to sign up for but it fell to me. At least I can get to their screens from home via Logmein.

Darling daughter Erika....do you mean WOW, that blanket is beautiful in those yarn colors, or do you mean, WOW, my mother is more of a nerd than I ever thought possible?
Katie, We have had Maui for 7 years. Poor baby has been relegated to the out of doors when we brought Ducey the doggin home!! She used to be Queen of the castle, but now, she is the keeper of the garage.

Hi my friend, Loved seeing your yarn-beautiful vibrant colors. My youngest is knitting a sweater for her oldest girl in soft purple...where did she get this talent-not from me. I loved crocheting-may just have to take it up again when I'm finished with the two quilts I need to do.
Hugs, Noreen
