Last night was the HaLLoween PaRade at Grandma GiGi's (my Mom) house. We went last year, but my grandkids weren't there. It was the cutest thing ever! They designate only one culdesac of the developement to have the trick or treating. Everyone decorates their house up big, and they set out tables, and then at 6:00 the parade of kids begins. Prior to that, up at the Clubhouse, they have a little carnival/fair from 3-6. Next year we hope to make it to that too. Unfortunately, Noah was under the weather so he wasn't there. I was so sad, because I learned earlier that he won't be trick or treating with us on Halloween.
Gennifer, Claire, Hannah and my nephew Tim. Mom had made bbq'd polish dogs, with chili, and meatball sandwiches, and everyone else brought something to share.
After we ate, we went to the front to start the parade. The kids came in throngs!!!! Excited, and dressed in their Sp0okY costumes. Some weren't spooky at all. Just adorable! Here they come!!
Every house had great decorations, and a table set outside to greet the trick or treaters.
Avatar creatures were there.
And we saw Amy Winehouse and her rocker boyfriend. But this Amy was way prettier than the real Amy!! Check out the dogs on the table!
The kids really got a kick out of this. It didn't take Claire any time at all to figure out that all you had to do was look cute, smile and mumble anything that remotely sounded like "trick or treat" and you got a candy dropped into your bucket!
That is my brother Mark giving Claire a candy.
At one house, there was a huge bucket of red vines. Hannah was the first to dive in, and she got a nice handful to munch on for the long trek ahead.
Cowboy Jake with his two little cowgirls, crossing over to get that one house they missed!!
And after each house was visited, the girls had fun coming back to GranDma GiGi's house to help pass out candy to the kids. Something was awfully funny here!!
Claire resting with Daddy after trick or treating.
Thank you GraNdMa GiGi (Mom) for having us over. It was so fun!!!!
This was the little Fall "treat" I brought my Mom. A knitted dish cloth, with an ApPle bottle of Bath & Body Works ApPle Hand SoaP, and some Fall NaPkins. Thanks Mom....we had a great time.

IT looks like such a perfect night. And your grand daughters make the cutest cowgirls I've ever seen.
Looks like fun. Is your mom's name really GiGi, or is that just what the grandkids call her? The grandkids call my mother Gee-Gee too. She made that up and said it stands for Gorgeous Granny. hee-hee
Hi Kris, Happy Monday to you. Thank you for sharing-lots like a lot of fun for everyone and I love the basket you took for your mom.
Have a wonderful day.

Looks like so much fun, and those are some really cute cowgirls!
You got some really good pictures!!
I am disappointed in mine. I feel like I don't know how to take pictures at night because I hate the flash on the camera and my lens isn't great for night time. Oh well.
That picture of Hannah and Tim laughing is great!
And the one of Claire getting candy from Uncle Mark!
Such fun.

This looks like so much fun! That’s so neat that you’re mom’s neighborhood does that. On top of that the kiddos get to wear their Halloween costumes twice.

I wish my neighborhood had a party like that! Gorgeous photos and some of those costumes were pretty unbelievable.
I'm so glad I re-read that. I thought you said "Kids came in THONGS!" I mean really, I wouldn't be surprised. I love Monte Cristo's too. Thanks for the nice comment on my blog and I look forward to spending some time with yours.
