There is a birthday party coming up for two very special little girls. My granddaughters, Hannah and Claire. I have been making these party puff balls in their favorite colors.
I have seen these out there on the internet, and on a few blogs. I love them. I couldn't wait for an occasion to make some of them. This seemed like the perfect time to try. They are really fun to make. The color possibilities are endless. You can make big ones like I did, or make all different sizes.
I used two shades of paper on a few of them. I liked that. One had polka dots, and one had a sparkle.
I LOVED making these. If you watch for sales on the tissue paper, you can make these for about 2.00 each. Don't buy cheap tissue paper, it will tear! Buy the highest quality you can, you will be glad when you are separating these very thin sheets to form the petals.
Don't these just make you want to have a party? Or go to a party! Or help someone decorate for a party?
I had fun making them. I hope my granddaughters like them.
They are "hanging" out in my sewing room until the party this weekend. I should have done a tutorial, but you can google them, and find several different videos out there. Try it, and have fun!!

These are so pretty - and the best thing is the girls can take them home after the party to decorate their bedrooms!!!
I really like the polka dot one! I can't wait for an occasion to make these. They would be so cute hanging from tree limbs too for a backyard party.
Oh those are sooooooooo Cool, they are gonna Love them!!! I have never seen these, I must google them right away!!
Are both Hannah & Claire having Birthdays in November?? I didn't realize that. Aren't Eri & Genny's birthdays in the same month too??

These are just darling....for some reason I can see white and silver or msybe even gold ones hanging in the bsck yard (at my old house) and decorating for a bridal shower, or an engagement party, or an anniversary. Soo cute. I think the girls will love them
Mom those look GREAT! I love them! Can't wait to see them hanging in the house for their party. They do make me want to party. :)
I think my favorite is the two-tone pink with the sparkles.
Those look really nice--I love the bright cheery colors!
What a neat idea! I love them. I hope I remember them next time I need something like that. I like Debbie's idea of gold and silver. That would be so pretty for Christmas or even New Years. Thanks for sharing.
Kris, These remind me of tissue paper flowers I used to make when I taught preschool-but yours are so much prettier. What a wonderful way to celebrate!
Have a joyous day.

Looks like you made a lot of them! They look great! I made them for both my daughters' birthdays this year.
Those are adorable, I'm sure the girls will love them! Have fun at the party!
OMGGG how cute are those? Yes I do wanna have a party now.
I remember making these with my mom when I was a girl. I'm glad they're making a come back. I have been looking for an occasion to make some.
They are so cute and you are so talented and creative. I bet the girls will love them.
Those are fantastic...I need a lesson. Oh the possiblilities. I am so sorry to miss the festivities this weekend, I was really looking forward to the party. Hope to see you when I get back...XXOO
Those are great! I remember making carnations out of tissue paper when I was a child. We would then douse them with my mother's nice perfume. She would, of course, follow her nose and we'd be in trouble--until the next time.
Happy birthday to the girls!
Best,
Bonnie
