Boat Washing Party-Pool Party-Pizza Party-Bonfire Day

Yes, it was a busy day.  We woke up early and began shuffling cars and things in and out of the driveway.   Jake and the girls arrived to help.  We caught a break on the weather.  It was never too miserable with the occasional spray of water gone askew.
The girls were very good washers!!
We washed, and dried for a few hours.  Noah and Hannah directing traffic.
Everyone got in on the action.  But not everyone got a picture.
I was enjoying the view into the grove without the boats and R.V.'s!!!
I ran out to Sports Authority and got a Hydroblaster.
Making sure we have enough life jackets.
We sat down and had some taquitos and burritos.  I love the serious conversation Noah and Hannah are having here.
And the kids did a little fly fishing!
After lunch I snuck into the house to give Ducey a much needed bath and hair cut.  I was going to take him in to be groomed professionally, but after Friday's visit to the vet, and the price tag that came along with it, I did it myself.  I often do his grooming myself, but I wanted to shave him this time before we board him, and to keep him cooler for the rest of the summer.  I did it all with scissors, but will be investing in some shears soon.  I think he lost several pounds of hair!
 Much cooler!!
After all of that washing, we had a little pool party.
The kids like to clap and chant..."CANNONBALL, CANNONBALL!!!"
I think Noah gave Jake a 10 for that dive!
After all of that swimming, and washing, and cleaning and packing.  We were ready to eat again!  I know....what a shock!!  So Erika went for pizzas, and Genny and Jake went to for Falafel, and we met back on the back patio to eat...AGAIN!   I wish I had taken pictures of this.  It was pretty comical.  Pizza faced kids, chickens pecking the ground, you know, the typical summer evening.  I sliced up a bunch of fresh tomatoes, and put giant basil leaves on a plate and we made margharita (how DO you spell that?) pizza with our plain cheese pizzas from Lil' Caesars.  DELISH!
The kids helped me water the garden, and got all muddy.  Sorry Moms!  We put the chickens to bed.  And just before dark, some of Erika's and Drew's friends arrived for a bonfire out back.
The music guys.
That was only half of their group.  Drew and Steve, both musicians, were playing guitars and singing.  The kids were running amok in the grove and on the sport court.  They roasted marshmallows and sang songs, and got mosquito bit all over!  A perfect day.  A perfect evening.  And we went to bed last night perfectly exhausted!!!
Bass Lake....BRING IT!!!

Hi Kris, Loved seeing the entire family washing the vehicles. Our daughter &sil just sold their motorhome, glad they did but sad to see it go. Loved seeing your pups haircut; when we get our next puppy it will have curly hair(I hope)and I'll have to learn how to clip her. Ducey is so cute.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs, Noreen
