Fall, Can You Hear Me? It's Me, Kris, Your Biggest Fan

I usually wait until September 1st to start bringing out my Autumn decor.  I love Fall.  Adore Fall.  It is my favorite season. And  where I live, we don't get much of it, so I sort of have to create the atmosphere a bit.  I haven't gotten any of my bins down from the rafters, but I could not resist putting a few things out the other day.
I made this fabric basket a few years ago from an online TUTE.  I love the Fall colors.
I saw these pillows at Kohl's several weeks ago, but resisted.   Well, I was in there the other day and they were the only two left like them, and they were 60% off.  I bought them, and love the way they look on our family room sofa.  The colors are so warm and rich.   The reds in the corner were two I have had a long time.  They are down and so comfy.  The oblong green is Mr. G's favorite pillow for night time telly.  He hates having all of those pillows on the sofa.  But I love them!
Do you like coffee?  Me too.  I love the Donut House coffee.  I found this at fresh & easy the other day, and it is every bit as good as Dunkin' Donuts brand coffee, and about 1/4 of the price!  SO yummy.  I make a large pot every morning, and use the rest for iced mocha coffees during the day.
I found these pretty bamboo rooster placemats at Ross.  Love them.  I took the leaves out of my kitchen table and I am loving it as a small round for now.

I dug out my darling little Train Case from the closet a few weeks ago and have been using it to tote my yarn for my small knitting and crochet projects.  I had forgotten all about this little beauty, and I love it!

Put out a Fall runner I made many years ago when I had first begun to quilt.  It is very beginner, and clearly I have come a long way with my sewing skills, but I still love the colors on it.
Those are coffee beans around my candle.  I like to use beans as a base for things like that, and it smells soooo good too.
Several weeks ago I had seen this cute little cotton hot pad over on
Pink Stitches blog.  She has a great blog with lots of creative ideas for sewing and crochet and such.  I bookmarked the pattern to do later.  Yesterday afternoon I sat down and made one.  Mine is a little wonky, but I still love the pattern. I will do my next one more carefully and try to make the petals fold down more evenly.
Looking at is from the above side, you get that pinwheel look to it.  The other side is slightly different looking.
These were fun to make.  I am thinking of doing them up in different colors and tucking them into my neighbors holiday gift baskets this year.
Off to take little N to school.  Try to stay cool and hydrated today.  We are looking at a high of 106 in my neck of the woods.
Kinda wishin' I was " Knee Deep In The Water Somewhere"

Over and Out.

Hi Kris, O.k. so now you are making me want fall; I've resisted putting anything out until after Labor Day but now I'm starting to change my mind. Loved seeing all your decorations. Have a great afternoon.
Hugs, Noreen

Now that song will be in my head all afternoon, thanks! I love fall too. Good job on your pinwheel thingy. So cool that you can just get a pattern and figure it out.

Fall is my favorite also! I had Sam Adams Octoberfest and Pumpkin Ale the other day, two things I love about fall. Can't wait for some pumpkin spice lattes! Your new pillows are so cute. Love the colors.

Love the fall decor. I can't believe how fast you whipped up the flower in one evening. That is one skill I do not have. I could crochet a straight chain when I was about 7 but haven't tried is since, and I never learned to knit:( Our weather has finally cooled down into the 70's and I'm loving it. Are you rested from your VA-CA yet?

LOVE LOVE it all - and love fall just as much! And you have so inspired me....I've had the itch for quit a bit but have been trying to contain myself. You have "set me free"!! :) And I just have to steal, er..borrow, that coffee bean idea!

We are actually have fall temps here - at least, for a bit. That is between earthquakes and hurricanes! Oh my.

Kris,
I'm smiling the whole time I am reading this. So many similarities. Anxious to get my Fall out also. Think I'll start next week. My family room sofa is covered with pillows. Hubby hates them also. Doesn't say much, just takes all of them off each night as he watches telly. I have coffee beans around a candle by my tub. Even though I am not a drinker, I love the smell. I think that your little flower is ever so sweet. Happy crocheting! Hotter than usual here too.

I love all your projects! I would like to learn to quilt and that tote is just adorable. Great job on the hot pad. I have been crocheting too. We hit 113 today I think. With the humidity the heat index was high and the kids at our school could not go out and play all day today. I love Fall too but unfortunately it will still be 100 in October! I am wishing for November! Glad you had a nice trip to the lake. Enjoy the weekend. I am leaving for the high country and cooler weather for a couple of days! Oh Yeah!

I'm so ready for fall. I have a feeling my pumpkins and other decor will be out, sooner than later. I just can't wait. I don't think I've seen that coffee, but I will watch for it. We love Dunkin coffee, but not the price!
