Happy Halloween

Yesterday afternoon, we went to my Mom's house.  Her community does a carnival and then one street of her community is designated to having the trick or treaters come through.  It happens to be on my Mom's street.  They all decorate big, dress up, and host the little trick or treaters to their homes.  It is the cutest thing.  We  did it last year for the first time, and this year again.  Our little Clairey was sick and Gennifer was a little under the weather so they had to miss it.
This picture of Jake and Hannah, our little Polynesian Princess, was taken at the carnival. They played games and won little prizes and had balloons made.  Hannah had her balloon made and wore it the rest of the night.  It was fairy wings and a halo.

Noah was Lightening McQueen from Cars, and just like his costume's name sake, he was in constant motion and hard to get a picture of! In this photo, he was winning the softball toss game.  Love the look on his face!!
After the carnival we had dinner at my Mom's and then the little ghosts and goblins came in droves down her street!
My nephew, Joe, was going to a Halloween party over the weekend, and he made his own costume.  He went as........A CUP OF JOE!!!   I love it!!!
We had a Frankenstein and wife.
Amy Winehouse.
Some spookey set ups.
The kids raced from one house to the next, so excited!

When we got back to my Mom's, they helped to pass out the candy.  They may have even enjoyed that more!!
I love this picture of Hannah and Nana.  I think my Nana really enjoyed sitting outside to watch all of the kids come by.  In this picture, she is admiring Hannah's costume.  I love the way she is touching her ribbon.  SO sweet!!!!
This lady came by, and we had to get her to come back for a picture.  She had THE BEST costume I have ever seen.  She was an old lady, a very, shall we say, fluffy old lady, who had lost her dog.  She carried a sign that read, Lost Dog, and when she turned around, you could see just where she had lost the poor little puppy!!  It was a riot!
My nephew Chad, husband Greg, son Drew, and Noah's Daddy, Mark.
Here are Deanna, my niece, and Diana, my son's girlfriend, trick or treating!  Silly girls!
Deanna is the youngest of the kids between my brothers and I.  She is my little brother Tim's  youngest.  The only girl with all brothers, just like me!  Poor thing!  Nah, I am kidding.  I loved having all brothers.  They always protected me!
Deanna is a star athlete, and we are so proud of her.  Look at how cute she is in her letterman's jacket!!  Yes, my maiden name is FINK!!
After over 350 trick or treaters, we ran out of candy.  Noah was standing at the table with his hand up, telling them " No more candy...all out!! "  It was so funny.
We all had a good time.  Especially the kids!  I feel bad that Gennifer and Claire had to miss it!  But tonight is the real thing, and we will be trick or treating over at Hannah and Claire's house.  Hope all of you have a safe and fun Halloween!
XO  Kris

What a nice way to celebrate! And to keep the weirdos from plopping who knows what in your treat bag... We're skipping the trick or treating this year for the first time ever - scheduling conflicts :)

Cute post Mom...they looked so cute Hans & Noah!!!! That was a fun time. Also I'd like to add to your readers a disclaimer that Noah's Dad & I are NOT together...nor will be ever. Just co-parenting nicely. That's all :)

I’m really jealous. We live in the country so we don’t have trick-or treaters. All of our parents live in old, old neighborhoods so most won’t even give out candy.

Really neat!

That's what you call a good neighborhood for candy. What a hoot. I love all the pics, but, especially the one of the boys standing there in the garage pretending not to give a hoot, but taking each and every moment in like a little one. You all will be on a major sugar buzz this week. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, your Mom's community really goes all out! We live in a rural area and used to get only a handful of Trick-or-Treaters, and now none! I hope no one comes by tonight as I don't have anything to give them. I was at the hospital today with dear hubby for his hernia operation and we just didn't get any.

Next year! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

How fun! What a great time, I love these pictures. I almost bought the Lightning outfit for Boyd that Noah has on! :) Maybe I can find it on clearance now and Boyd can use it to play dress up.

Tell your nephew that I LOVE his costume!

That is such a great time for the kiddos! How awesome that they do the festival prior to the trick or treating. It gives them a whole day of fun!

LOVE the fairy wings & halo out of the balloons. Someone has talent!!

Your kiddos looked adorable. Glad you all had such a good time.
