Halloween Recap

Last night we went to Gennifer and Jake's for trick or treating.  But first I had to go see Christopher next door and give him his little Halloween treats.  Christopher just turned 19 on Sunday!  He has sure grown!!!  This year he was a Viking!  He looked great.  His older brother Daniel was there with his one year old twins.  They were Pebbles and Bam-Bam.  So darn cute!!  Dan even made their costumes!
Aren't they cute!  Chris has Down Syndrome, and still enjoys dressing up for Halloween.  He was so excited!!
I was only able to get one shot of our three grand kids before they took off with their parents and Geeps while I stayed behind to pass out the candy.
After the kids returned, we watched a little telly and visited.  I had to laugh because we are all so into this Words With Friends games, and at one point I looked up from where I was sitting and there was my daughter Gennifer, son Drew, and Drew's buddy Brian, all playing Words on their phones!
Brian and Drew have been friends since they were 10 years old and played basketball together for many years.  Brian is like family to all of us!
Look at Brian trying to get a word to beat Jake!!
Hannah layed by the door to make sure she was there for the very last trick or treater.  I had to laugh.  She is so darn cute!
This was a low key Halloween.  Claire and Hannah and Gennifer were all getting over bad colds.  But the kids sure had fun with all of the activities at school, and Grandma Gi-Gi's house, and then last night.
I can't believe it is NOVEMBER, can you?  Time to gear up for the holidays.  I wish I could say I was excited.
I want to tell TERRY from Murrieta, THANK YOU so much for letting me know I could find freezer paper at Stater Bros.!  I went right away, and sure enough, they had it!  I would come to your blog, but when I click on your comment, it doesn't give the link.  So if you have one, please let me know so I can come visit!
Let's hope November finally brings us to some cooler weather.  I AM ready for that!
Happy day people!
XO  Kris

Kris .... Sorry I don't have a blog but spend much time making the rounds of quilty blogs daily. I have three grandchildren and relate to alot of your adventures with the grandkids. Love, love the chickens - always wanted a yardful since visiting my grandparents in Texas where chickens were abundant. Have tried many of your recipes with great success. Since I sorta live in your neighborhood, I relate to alot of the places you haunt. Till next time.

The grands look adorable Kris!! Lili can't trick or treat until Thursday. Hopefully her street will have power and most of the snow will be gone!!

I haven't heard of that game - I'll have to investigate! LOL

Have a great week! HUGS!!

November has come to Indiana with cold temps and grey skies. We've had about six or seven fires, now. I just put clean blankets on our bed and put the heated mattress pad on...so much better than laying under a heated blanket...to lay on top...a giant heating pad! Very nice if you have aches and pains!

Looks like you all had a great time. No, I can't believe we are in November already. I'm not ready for winter! Heck, it's not even fall yet. Supposed to finally be out of the 90's and into the low 80's here. I can't even start to think about Christmas yet!

Hi Kris, you had way more fun than I did on Halloween this year! Spent the day with hubby in the hospital and then home and spent the whole evening ALONE.. and I love this holiday. Next year I hope it's better.

I think it's your turn to play me on WWF. :-)

((hugs)), Teresa :-)
