Five For Friday

Good Friday morning!  I made the turn around and today I feel like me again!  Woo-Hoo!!!
I am linking up with my friend Janna today at Denim and Dandelions  for her Five For Friday linky party.
My first favorite thing of the week for today is what I found yesterday when I went into the hen house to collect eggs.  It was what I have been waiting for.....and yesterday was the day!!  My Five girls EACH laid an egg!!!!!   I went 5 for 5!!!!
Well, I guess they did, not me.  But I was excited!!!
A light brown, a dark brown, two blue/green eggs, and a white egg!!!!!  At this rate, my girls are keeping our family and a few neighbors and friends in eggs!!
Number two thing that is exciting for me this week is my sewing room.  WHAT A MESS!!!!
But that mess means I am knee deep in creativity.  I am busy making things for myself, for Christmas gifts, and I have several orders that have come in this week that I am busy working on too.
I am a very neat and tidy person, so this is very unusual for me!  But my sewing room doubles as a holding room for Christmas gifts, and wrapping area too.  So it gets rather untidy this time of year.  But I know just where everything is!!!
Number three happy thing for me is hooky time in the early morning hours when the house is quiet, and no one is stirring but me.
Number four, is my first cup of coffee of the morning.  In my Christmas mug.  With my Christmas coffee creamer that matches my Christmas dishes.  Which are currently washed and sitting pretty in my cupboard.  Sitting on one of my Christmas trivets.
Awwww!!!  See, I'm not a total Scrooge.  I just like to get through one holiday at a time!!!
Number five happy thing this week is the very beginnings of my Christmas decor coming out.  While I haven't gotten my bins down from the garage yet, I have a few things in the house, like my Christmas dishes, and my Christmas Button Up that I hung on the wall yesterday, December 1st!
Janna hasn't posted her linky yet, but go on over and say hello anyway.  She is the dear heart that made my button for me!!!  She made one for my daughter Gennifer too.  I sure hope she doesn't take it away, because I love it!
Tomorrow I am supposed to be meeting up with 4 of my blogging pals for a day of holiday cheer.  I so hope I can go!  These are very special ladies that I have met through the wonderful world of blogging.  I have my fingers crossed!!!
It's Friday....go make it a great day!  And I hope you have a wonderful weekend too!
XO  Kris

Kris glad you are on the mend. I have a pounding headache from all this dry windy weather. Hoping coffee and two Tylenol get rid of it. Just let us know how you are feeling tomorrow. Rest up!!

Isn't there something incredibly cozy about drinking your everyday beverage from a Christmas mug? I love when they come out! Your eggs look so pretty--just like pretty pastel Easter eggs!

Hi Kris, glad you are feeling better. We moms can't get sick this time of year. My body normally waits to after the holidays to give in, happens a lot actually. I give myself permission to let go. Your eggs are so awesome, how exciting to lay your own eggs. (Not you of course, you know what I mean) Have a great weekend, xoRobin❤

Nice to hear you are well on your way to a better and brighter weekend. See, here's the thing. I really, really want my own sewing yarn room. You know one where I can leave the ironing board up just like you. I can't do that in the sun room, it's to public, if you know what I mean. And my friend, you must go get a can of Cherry Bomb Red and get spraying. Glad to see some one else is staying with the traditional Red and Green. My cake tier is too cute, so it's a add to the must do list. Beside, I'm going to have fun looking for three new plates for after the holidays with red in it for spring.
Gotta run, I'm spraying up a new find today and it's ready for a second coat.

Kris.. ohhhh.. jealous of the 5 eggs. With 3 hens, we've had 3 a day.. but now we're down to one a day! Darn winter! I have an "office" but it's so full that I still end up doing my crafty stuff in our family room. Oh well! Loving all your decor coming out!!

Your home is pretty and cozy. I'm sure I've said that before, but it makes me want to come sit on your couch, by the fire, and drink some coffee with you! :)

Enjoy your weekend.

Hi Kris - I hope you feel well enough to meet up with your blogging friends. My guest bedroom looks like your sewing room. Good thing I'm not going to have any overnight guests in the next few weeks. What fun to find a little gift from all five of your girls.

I hope you are better and were able to met up with the girls! If so, I am sure you had a wonderful time!!! Love your sewing room! I also find quiet time crocheting! It is so relaxing isn't it? I crochet each night before I go to bed.

Hugs,
Maryjane
