Three Styles Of Cowls

Good morning.  I went in to have my hair cut yesterday and was wearing my newest red cowl, with a black Bloomie.  Dawn, you asked to see it being worn.  Here you go.
It is so warm and cozy!  I had brought a bunch of new Bloomies with me for Liz to sell in the salon.  But instead, I am going to be going back on Friday to drop off Bloomies and as many Cowl's as I can have made, for a boutique that they are having at the salon.  They loved the red one.  I also made this charcoal one.  It is slightly different. It is wider, and can be worn like a hood.  Probably not a lot of opportunity to wear it that way here where we live, but in Big Bear you could!  Brace yourself for a scary picture.  I was sitting on Drew's bed, in his messy room.  I had just come home for having my hair done, and threw on some old sweats to do some work in.  Here you see it worn like a hood, for when you are in a blizzard!
And then as a Cowl/ neck warmer.
And with Bloomies.
Lovely outfit eh?   So I will be working like crazy this week.  After the boutique, I will be focusing on finishing getting ready for Christmas.  I have never been this far behind before.
This morning Noah came  in to get me while I was getting ready and said, "Gamma, come take my picture with the Snowmen!"  I had given him a box of decorations to decorate the playroom with all by himself.  He had a ball with the snowmen!  He had a Snowman lunch, and hung stockings, and garland too.   This is the room where I am still in the process of removing wallpaper.  Don't judge.  It will have to wait until after the holidays.
I have no shame.  I showed you photos of me in my rattiest sweats.  I have shown you a room in the house that looks awful with wallpaper half on and half off.  You think that's bad?  Look at this next one.  Mr. G took this photo of me last weekend early in the morning while I was out in the grove in my jammies, with same said favorite pair of ratty sweat pants, refilling a water dish for my chickens.  I had gone to bed the night before without having blown dry my  hair and it was standing up every which way.  I saw him come out with my camera, and I said, " Don't you dare!!!"  And he did!  Luckily I pulled my nightshirt up over my head as fast as I could first.
Just keeping it real for you!  Yes, those are purple Crocs!  I keep them outside the door to slip into when I go outside without my shoes on.  Yes, I am a dork!  Yes, I have no shame!  Thought you could use a laugh!!!

You. Are. Adorable! We love you! I wear crocs as "house-shoes," too. I have real crocs for in the house (red) and fake crocs (purple) for garden/chicken/yard chores! We try not to wear anything with chicken poo in the house. This is important!

I just love your reality!!! I should take a few myself but I don't want to give anyone a heart attack! Yours are just too cute...nice save on that last one!

I want purple crocs...mine are lime green and need to be replaced.

Love the cowls...I should make some, how wide are you making them? I probably have some yarn around here...how about another project, Karen...when you haven't even decorated for Christmas yet......lol!!!

Love it! I have purple crocs too. :-) I'm all for comfort and if I'm going to be home all day, I'm in my favorite sweats and sweatshirt. Your cowls are great, good luck with your sales.

Beautiful work! I wouldn't worry at all about your wallpaper, come check out the current mess at my house now, lol. All in time for the holidays! Love that you are keeping it real! Have an awesome day!

I can't stop giggling. I love all the pictures, but those purple crocs. Thanks so much for sharing this classic shot. I for one vote for more NO SHAME. We can keep each other in stitches till the cows come home. Isn't that the saying. OK, yes, I'm beyond tired and feel it all draining out now that the Enter button was hit as of an hour ago. I think I need a cowlie thing to hide in. Glad to see you have got them in a salon. You go girl.

Kris one of the things I enjoy most with you is that you do keep it real; I feel like an old friend who dropped by without notice and you just met me at the door-love it. We have matching crocs. I love your cowls-my girl made me a purple one several years ago but I don't where it too much, guess I might just start now!
Love your hair cut.
Have a great evening.

OH my gosh! That is too funny!! :o) I have curly hair, if I go to sleep with it wet, it scares even my cats in the morning. Hahahaha! :o)
I am in love with your cowls!! Especially the one that pulls up over your head! True love I tell ya! :o) And those bloomies could not be cuter!!

Cowls are THE best! I love them! And yours are no exception! And you, in your cowls...adorable! I saw the comment above "You. Are. Adorable."...and I sooooo agree! I'm giggling at that last photo! Sweats...I live in 'em. We have two dogs that regularly deposit fur and mud on me...if I'm home...I'm in sweats (in the cooler months) - and crocs? Well, I have them in more colors than I care to admit! Do you know that they shrink if they get left in a hot car? So don't ever leave them in the heat! (I live in them too!) Hugs, Annette
