A Simple Sunday

Good Sunday morning to you!  It has been another lazy weekend here for us.  Mostly, me.  I spent all morning yesterday out on the wicker loveseat like this.
I was actually working on it while I was covered up in it.  It was cool and breezy underneath the shade of the umbrella.
I did feel a wee bit guilty when Mr. G came out to work on the weeds in the orange grove.
When I was getting dressed yesterday morning, I said to him, "Shall I go work on the weeds in the grove, or go sit underneath the umbrella and work on my blanket?"  He said, " Go work on your blanket Bunny!"
He calls me Bunny.  Did I ever tell you that?
So I did.  I sat and listened to the birds.  Watched the chickens.  Watched the leaves rustle in the trees.  I could faintly hear the water fall from next door.  And I stitched, and stitched, and stitched.
I should have a Ta Da for you sometime this week on my Bobble Blanket.  Later in the afternoon, I harvested some veggies, and we went over to our daughter Gennifer's house for a delicious BBQ of Mahi Mahi and Tri Tip!!
I harvested my first cucumber and we sliced it up and put it in our green salad.  It was delicious!
We got home and I worked late into the night on my blanket.  And did something I never do this morning.  I slept until after 9:00!!!!  I couldn't believe it when I woke up and looked at the clock!!!  I guess I needed it.
Mr. G is out front working on the boat in preparation for us to go away soon to Big Bear with family.   He has his helper out there with him.
Christopher lives next door, as most of you know.  He loves to help Greg do chores around the house.  And Greg loves having him help too.
Buddies!!!!
We are going over to my Uncle John's house here in town later today, for a BBQ.  His daughter, my niece Katie, is in town for a visit with her family.  We have not ever met her one year old baby girl.  I can't wait!!!
I am linking up with my sweet friend Elaine today.  She is hosting her very first linky party.  I am new to these too.  So let's see it if works.
Here is Elaine's Blog
Go check out  her linky party.  Have a great day!
XO  Kris

Good to know that your beautiful coverlet is already being pressed into good use. I LOVE the colors! Have I ever mentioned that I'm so envious of your garden, orange grove and fresh eggs?

Best,
Bonnie

Isn't that what weekends are for? Good for you getting to work on your terrifically pretty blanket. Loving the colours.
The only thing our gardens have in common are the bean canes!lol

What a bright and colorful blanket! Looks like it has been many, many stitches to get that together. Funny you call it a bobby blanket, as that is what our kids and their cousins called their comfort blankets which I crocheted--their bobbies.

Oh, and I forgot to type that I really admired the colors of your hens' eggs in the last post. Beautiful!
Blogger locked up every time I tried to attend Elaine's linky party today...but thanks for the invitation...what is a linky party?
