Uncle Johnny's BBQ

Yesterday we all gathered at my Uncle Johnny's house, here in town, to see my cousin, his youngest daughter, Katie!!  Katie has lived all over the states, as her husband is in the military.  They have been fairly close to us, in the Pacific Northwest, but just got a transfer to Missouri.  So, on their way to their new home, they are vacationing here in So. California.  It was the first time for most of us to meet her one year old baby girl, Ellie Jo.  What a sweetie she is.
Here is Katie, her husband Sean, son Jonathon and daughter Ellie Jo.
Jonathon was getting scolded for his shenanigans here, I think.  Here is one of Katie and her husband and EJ.
Here is Katie's Dad, my Uncle Johnny, my Mom's baby brother, mixing us his famous Pina Coladas.
Cheers ladies.  This is my sister in law Monica, and my daughter Erika, and nephew Tim in the background.
My Uncle built this great bar in his backyard a few years ago.  It sure is a fun place to visit.
My Mom and Aunt Sue.
I think Jonathon was trying to get into as many photos as he could.  He made it into about half of mine!!!
Three pretty girls.  My two gorgeous daughters and  beautiful  Katie.
Here is our Nana.
We will be celebrating Nana's 98th birthday in a few short weeks here!!!  Isn't that something?  We have 5 generations of women in our family!!!
Here is Geeps talking to our grandgirls about what is in the pond.
This guy here, used to be in the pond.  We had all gone to New Orleans, and went on a airboat trip through the glades.  This baby fellow was given to Johnny, and kept in the hotel bathtub and rode home with us in his pocket so he could add it to his pond.  However, the poor little guy didn't make it too long.
I asked him why he has had that thing in his freezer for five years, and he said he is going to stuff it!!!  I told him I had some left over poly fill that I could stuff it with, and he could hang it on his wall in the bar next to the big marlin.
Johnny and Sue's yard is beautiful.  They have 5 daughters between them, and all but one was married here in this backyard.  In fact, so were Johnny and Sue!!!
I love this picture of our Claire and Hannah and Johnny and Sue's grandson Brody.  I think Clairey is telling him something very important!!
We were sitting in the middle of the yard under the shade and Gennifer and Claire got up to go see the garden.  I loved these shots.

Johnny has always had a wonderful garden.  I keep telling him that he needs chickens now!!
They certainly have the room.

Here is a picture of me with my lil' granddaughters.  It was kind of windy, and no one was looking at the right camera.  Oh well.
Looks like it was dessert time!
We had a great time.  Thanks Johnny and Sue!!  It was so great to see Katie and her beautiful family!!!
XO  Kris

I am blown away by the fact that your Nana will be 98 years old! She looks great and how wonderful and blessed all of you are. Isn't it always fun when we can spend time with family? These moments seem to be far and few when loved ones are scattered all over the country. We are fortunate when some are close, but everyone is always so busy anymore. Lovely pics and a lovely family. Thanks for sharing.

What a beautiful backyard...you must have gotten some garden inpsiration while you were there and that's why you're already planning ahead for next year! And what guy wouldn't LOVE a bar in the backyard?! Too much fun!
