Spinning Out!

Good Tuesday morning to you!  I can't believe it has been one week since I have posted!  I titled this post spinning out, because that is how I feel.  Like I am spinning out of control!!!   I am so very grateful for all of the orders I have received!!  I have been working fast and furiously to fill all of my orders in a timely fashion.  My darling daughter Erika keeps wearing my wares, and every time she goes out, she comes home with more orders!  That girl is a salesman(woman)!!!   So, for the most part, I have been absent due to the busyness of my life.   Here are some of the orders that have gone out this past week.
Winter white and black have been, by far and away, the most popular colors.  Wait til you see my winter white with a deep red flower!  So holiday(ish) I think.
Erika's friend Tiana ordered a red head band with bow for her beautiful little girl.
She ordered this to take with her Christmas photos.  This is just a try on.  I was worried about the size, because she is soooo tiny!  Poor baby had a scrape on her face.  She is so pretty, that Mads!!!  Tiana, I got your order for the two winter white bands, and will get those to you by the weekend.  Thank you!
This week, the orders are all about infinity scarves and ear warmers to match!!   And Sarah, your gray infinity scarf and matching ear warmer, along with your Mom's ear warmer are ready to ship!  I hope you like them!!!
I went on a quilt shop hop with my friend Jae last weekend.  We had a ball!  We also made a pit stop at Velona's yarn shop.  I had a ball!!!   On our last stop, we ran into Joann's for something, and they had their Ott lites all on sale for 50% off.  If you sew, you know Ott Lites.  I have a small desk top Ott lite, and I LOVE it.  I splurged and bought myself the floor lamp, with gooseneck lite and attached magnifier.  Wow....do I ever recommend this!!!
Now I can sit in the family room at night with Greg and work on my orders.  During the day I hide my stash of yarns and projects next to the chair by the fireplace.  My pile keeps growing!
I have been noticing feather explosions all over the grove and yards!  Now I know why.  My chickens are molting.  And this is why they are not all laying eggs every day.  I am only getting about 4 eggs a day.  Usually, each will lay daily.  I am missing my 7 eggs a day!!  And so are the people who I give eggs to!!!
Their coop looks like a pillow fight took place!!
I climbed up into the avocado tree this morning (just the lowest branch Mom) to take this.  I have a couple of escapees every day from the run.  I get up and feed them early, and I let them out of the coop and into the run.  Then after collecting eggs, about noon, they can free range.  But every day, one or two escape.  I think I have figured out where they are getting out now though.
I made homemade applesauce a few days ago with apples from when we went apple picking.  YUM!!!
Yesterday I made myself stay home and cleaned my house from top to bottom!  The floors are sparkling!  Now if only it would stay that way!!!  I moved my kitchen table and it provides so much more room.  I like the look of it facing the other way better because the pretty parsons chairs show more.  But this way is  much more roomy for when we have everyone at the table.
Above was taken from the living room.   This one is from the kitchen.
Now I need a new rug to go underneath the table.  The one thing I miss about this house, is having a separate dining room.  Oh well, we make do.
Today is gray with a chance of drizzle.  I love it.  Finally, we have cooled off.  I am going to meet some friends for lunch today at Panera.  Then get busy on orders.
Ducey looks just how I feel this week.
We lost a dear family friend this week.  My heart is with the Schaffer family!!!  Ray, we will miss you so much.  But I know you are up there playing cards and lagging pennies with my Dad!!!
XO  Kris

Kris, You have been so busy it is no wonder you've been absent from blogging. Way to go girl!!! I love all your scarfs and bands-so beautiful. Love how you rearranged your eating area too. We don't have a separate dining room either and hubby hates that about this house...but I try to stay content. I'm sorry for the loss of your family friend..
Blessings on your day!
Hugs, Noreen

Yow are amazing with all you accomplish..... And climbing up a tree to take a picture??? You make me smile but just reading your blog makes me tired. I wish that I could accomplish half of what you do. Keep up the good work. Your yarn projects are beautiful . Hugs, Lura.

Kris, you are amazing with all you do! I'm inspired by the applesauce.. I want to try this in our slow cooker. My great grandpa made apple butter in huge batches and I even have this hand made stirring thing he made. My mom made apple butter too, real spicy with cinnamon. We're cozy in our trailer and it's pouring down rain and the ocean is pounding right outside. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Ducey is too cute! I'm super excited for my order to arrive. My mother in law is going to love her ear warmer. I can't wait to send you a pic of us wearing everything! Maybe you'll be getting more orders from Wisconsin! My mom has had a light similar to yours for years now, she's a quilter and even takes it on longer retreats with her. I'm sorry to hear about your friend as well, those things are always really hard to deal with.

Hi Kris! I've been catching up with your posts...I've been pretty MIA from visiting lately with my mom visiting, and babysitting my nearly 2 year old granddaughter! Life does look wonderfully full and busy for you lately! Love all of your creations...I just found a pattern for a neck warmer I want to try. Your Big Bear trip looked fun, as did the pumpkin patch (could your grandkids get any cuter?)...and that meal at the restaurant looked amazing!

Kris, I'm so sorry about the loss of your friend. Praying for everyone who was touched by his life, and his loss! hugs.

I love your knits. You make the cutest things! One day I will learn. I keep saying that. :)

Thanks for your comment today. I wigged out and deleted that post, and tried to write it again, being a little more politically correct. I guess I'm just having a crazy/off day. Thanks for letting me vent, and for always saying sweet things to me.
