Big Bear

Hi there.  We are up in beautiful Big Bear with our daughter Erika and grandson Noah.  When we were driving up yesterday, it was 89 degrees at the base of the mountain.  Up here it was in the 50's, and in the 20's at night.  So beautiful, but the snow from two weekends ago is long gone.
Today Geeps and Eri and Noah went to the Alpine Sled play area.  They rode the sleds.
Played miniature golf.
Drove the race cars.
I love this shot of Erika and Noah!
Is she not the best model for my earwarmers?  They had a lot of fun.  I stayed at the cabin and worked.

These are childrens headbands.  I was looking for something to put them on, and discovered that a roll of paper towels works great!
When they returned from the Alpine Sled park, Erika wanted to go thrifting.  I knew that there were some good shops in Big Bear City, so off we went.  Noah wanted to go too.  We had fun, and we found a few things.  While we were gone, Greg took a hike to Castle Rock.
This afternoon Noah wanted to go with Geeps to take Ducey for a walk.  I absolutely LOVE this shot of Noah!!!
And this one too, where he is posing!
Erika and Noah headed on down the hill tonight.  Geeps and I will go home tomorrow.  It has been a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend!!!
XO  Kris

You're right....Erika is the perfect model for your beauties! The only problem, when people get your creations in the mail...they will be disappointed they don't look as good as Erika does wearing them! :)
Great pictures of Noah...Big Bear looks like such a beautiful place.

My, my your crocheting is keeping you busy! That is the one good thing about crochet and knitting, you can always take it along for those family outings no matter where you go. Big Bear must be the best place ever, and it is evident that your and your family love it there so much.

Kris, What a wonderful family time; I love your cabin adventures. I haven't done much this weekend-you are very productive. Love your ear warmers. It is cold but sunny here; our oldest girl was in Ca.(northern)for T-day and said it was so damp and cold that it chilled you to the bone. Glad it is dry here.
Have a great evening and safe drive home tomorrow.
Hugs, Noreen

Another holiday well enjoyed. Keeping busy down here in sunny Flordia. But we are ready for some quiet time this week to explore on our own. Plus we need to work off all the food. But the truth be told, I did do pretty well over the weekend staying on track. Scott....well that's another story.

Big Bear is such a wonderful recreation spot for you and your family. Kris!

I enjoyed your prior post and seeing how you prepare your delicious Thanksgiving holiday feast -- everything looked so good! I have to try your green bean recipe and your marinaded brussel sprouts. Your family traditions are beautiful. Happy countdown to Christmas!

You've been posting, and I've been missing out on all the goodness over here. I think my mind has just been in a cloud the last week. I also love the pictures here of Noah and Erika, and the one of Noah on the rocks. Big Bear always looks so dreamy, and like such a fun place. I always love when you and Genn post about it. So glad it was a good weekend for you!
