Happy Birthday Hannah Faith!!!

Today our Hannah girl turned 6!  SIX!!!   Hannah is our oldest granddaughter.  She came into this world, and changed our lives in so many ways!  Having grandchildren is the biggest blessing ever!  And having our grown kids, and grandchildren living right here in our town, is by far and away, our biggest joy!
I asked Hannah what she wanted for her birthday.  She said a pink robe with pockets!!!    How hard can that be, I ask you?  Well....not quite as easy as I thought.  No robes with pockets!  Let alone PINK robes with pockets.   So.....I bought a pink fluffy robe.
And I found some fluffy fleece pajama pants in a coordinating fabric.
And then I took the pajama pants to my cutting table.
And made pockets on Hannah's pink robe.
And a pair of capri pajama pants.
And Hannah loved them!
We arrived at Hannah's house tonight while they were all still out at her soccer practice.  She didn't know we were all coming.  We picked up the pizza and hid behind the island in the kitchen when we heard the garage door open, popping up with a big "SURPRISE" when she came through the door!  I think we scared her!  But she was so happy!!
Gennifer made some yummy cake pops!!!  We sang Happy Birthday.........
And watched her open her gifts.  She showed us that Mommy and Daddy got her a beautiful new bike!!
She is even sporting a newly skinned right knee that she got this afternoon while trying it out.
I don't know what is so funny in this picture, but they did a fair share of laughing at me!!!  They love to make fun of me!!!
I made each of the kids an ear warmer, and I got the biggest kick out of them when I took these pictures.
Clairey gave me a couple of close ups.
She looks so much like her cousin Noah sometimes!!!  And very much like my childhood photos too.
Noah did some singing and beat boxing for us.
There were some wild balloon tennis matches.  My little pony games.  Tic Tac Toe with Uncle "Goo" and a whole lot of laughs, as usual.
Thank you Gennifer and Jake, for having us.   And a gigantic Happy Birthday to our Hannah Faith Full of Grace!!!  We love you SO much!!!
XO  Kris

Happy 6th birthday to your sweet Hannah. They grow so fast, almost overnight. My husband says they grow like weeds. Therefore the nickname we gave to our daughter Jill when she was little. Now it has gone to the granddaughters. He calls them his little weed.
Love the bathrobe project. It turned out so cute. And why don't they put pockets on things any more.!?!?!? Nothing like thinking there is one there, put something into the no pocket and it falls to the floor.
Have a great weekend.
hugs

Hannah is a doll and it's easy to tell that she love her cute robe and capri's. The fleece bottoms matched perfect and worked great for the pockets. My granddaughter, Jordyn has decorated her new 'teen' room (she turned 11) in a peace theme. She would love Hannah's gift. Better not let her see or I'll be on the hunt for the peace robe and bottoms. lol! All of the kids look so cute posing in their new ear warmers. What a fun grandma you are! By the way, my kids love teasing me too!
Hugs,
Jann

Great photos, Kris. You are such a clever grandma. Love that you made capris so you could add pockets to that adorable pink robe. The kids are adorable in their ear warmers. They seem to be very happy with their gifts from grandma.

Well Kris...she looks like a lovely young lady...
That housecoat and pocket idea is FANTASTIC!!! So ingenious of you!!!
I guess they figure kids don't need pockets on their robes!! hahaha...

Looks like you all had a swell time...you are really lucky, Kris...

Cheers!
Linda :o)

Love your header photo and love your family! I miss hanging out with you and Genn in blogland, but I'm glad y'all are still at it. Can you believe how fast your grandkids are growing? When I first started reading your blog, they all seemed so little!
