Drew's 24th Birthday

Today is our son Drew's birthday.  Twenty Four!  How did THAT happen?  He is the baby.  So how can this be?  My 6'5", size 14 shoe, baby, is Twenty Four.  Two Four!!!   I woke this morning and texted him to say Happy Birthday.   The family was all coming at 5:00 for dinner.  I felt like making some homemade orange juice, so I took a walk in the grove and picked some nice oranges from the trees.
I don't really like to begin picking the oranges until this time!  And for the next several months, they will be enjoyed so much!!!!
I made breakfast for Geeps and I, and then got ready to do my grocery shopping.
Just before I left, Gennifer and Hannah showed up.  Our little Hannah is a new Daisy Scout, and selling Girl Scout Cookies for the first time.  She is so excited!!!  She couldn't wait to show us what she had.  She has done her homework.  She knows how to sell, and to up sell too!! She showed us her entire selection of cookies.
Then Geeps gave her the cash, while Christopher looked on.
Chris even bought some for his house.
We sampled the new Mango Coconut Cookies.  Yummy!!
We said goodbye, and walked inside the house with 10 boxes of girl scout cookies!!!!
I left to grocery shop, than came home and set the table and made some guacamole.
The kids arrived, and we ate, and laughed, and watched Drew open his presents.
Here he is with  his girlfriend, Diana.

The girls had fun blowing their blowers and wearing their party hats!
I am falling asleep, so I will leave you with this one of Drew and his Dad.
I will be back tomorrow with the rest and a Super Bowl post.
Happy Birthday Drew.  We love you so!!!!
XO  Mom

Happy birthday to Drew. Looks like he celebrated well with you all.
I saw on the local news a day or so ago it was GS cookie time. My faves are the Thin Mints and the Thank You cookies.
Rest up from all the work you put into the party. Take a day off if you can and pamper yourself.

My baby will be 25 on the 13th of this month so I know how you feel! What a nice family celebration! I can't imaging going outside and picking oranges. Yours look so much more delicious than the ones I get at the store! I haven't made guacamole either. I am envious at your skills!
