New Beginnings

Good Monday morning!  It is a new day!  A new year!  And a new beginning.  This past year was a difficult, and turbulent year for our family.  Many things contributed to that.  Losing our dear Nana.  A health issue, nearly losing our sick dog.  Those are just some of the things that made these past several months hard.  In November, we found out that Greg would be losing his job.  What a way to end the year, eh?  It was certainly not good news.  And we were very worried about things to come.  But it wasn't all doom and gloom either.  We knew we had some options to deal with.  Some are not so lucky.  But it was not the kind of news one is happy to receive, only weeks before Christmas.  Or ever.
This is one of my very favorite photos of Greg.  Taken last summer on Big Bear Lake.
Today, he left here bright and early, to begin his new job.  We are so thankful.  I woke up early today too.  I will be thinking about him all day.
We are hopeful that 2014 will be a much better year for our family.
Today, I have a very grateful heart.
XO  Kris

It's one thing when we make a change for ourselves and quite another when we are forced to change, very much more stressful. I'm hopeful that this will be a good fit for your husband and grateful that he was able to find a new job in these times. Good wishes going out to you and yours. My motto for this year is Expect Good Things and that is what I shall keep in mind for you!

Kris, I didn't know about the job thing, so sorry, and hope the new job is just perfect for your family. Text me and fill me in:)

Oh Kris I am sure this wasn't easy news to hear especially with that timing, but yes how blessed you are to have options, as soo many who have stood in those shoes don't. And a new job already and a new beginning! Praying all goes well with him and his new position, and that the Lord will bless his efforts abundantly! I know you have spoken of how hard this last year was, and yet I look at you and see a grateful, happy heart and know you are a strong lady who will grow from life's adversities instead of be defeated. How blessed that makes you too! Enjoy this day! And I will be anxiously awaiting to hear how it all went for Greg too! HUGS

Praying for Greg today sweet friend. Life is so unpredictable. Someday you will look back on the last couple of months with great memories of the extra time you and Greg got to spend together while he was out of work. Thinking of you and so happy things are turning around.

Kris, I understand completely the need to put last year behind us and put it all to rest. Your husband is so lucky to have found a new job. If last year wasn't enough of a jolt to a lot of us with the loss of loved ones and other crazy things. It would be so good to start this new year on a bright note, but for me it is not so...will be posting again in the next few days, unfortunately it won't be good.

My dear Kris. I'm praying for you and for Greg as he begins his new job. Life sure has some twists and turns doesn't it? If you're like me, I'm the worrier in the family. Your family is strong though and I'm sure has grown even closer through the many trials you've faced this past year. May God bless you with a happier time in the future and for continued grace in the days ahead.
Blessings,
Betsy

My thoughts will be with Geeps too. Hope things work out for him and he loves what he is doing. Is it the family business or something else? Hope the commute isn't too bad. Sure do miss you. I need some Kris time. It's been too long.

Oh Kris, I knew that you had something difficult happen to you last Nov. but didn't know what. That would be hard, especially at our age. So happy that he has a new job, and I am sure that it will be a blessing! The Lord works in mysterious ways. Sometimes things that seem the worst turn out to be the best! Love the photo of your hubby. Looks like one happy camper! I know you will miss your Nana. What a grand lady she was!
hugs,
Jann
