Hellooooooo! I spent the entire day bringing Fall to my house. Greg helped me get the boxes down from the rafters, and I went through them, box by box, putting things out, and decorating for my favorite season. I never want to take this stuff down, and put it away. They are my favorite colors, and I love my house best when it is dressed for Fall. I still haven't gotten my pumpkins and gourds, or put up my corn stalks and hay bales. And I need to buy some fresh mums too. It is still too hot here though. I will wait a couple of weeks. I began with the outside, but when I took the photos, it was getting a little dark. Remember the Adirondack chair and half that I took off the curb of a house by my daughter's? It was a bit rickity, but still looked good. I wanted to use it for display anyway!
I have a lot of yard work and clean up to do in the flower beds after this scorcher of a summer.
This porch glider is so old. We bought it when the girls were little and we lived in our old house! I keep tacking it together because I love it. It is so comfortable, and such a nice spot to sit and read, or watch the kids play. I also like to bring my crochet out here.
The front porch is almost ready for Fall. Still need to put out pumpkins, and cornstalks. And of course, put up The Great Pumpkin light on the house.
I have silk mums in this iron basket on the bistro table that sits on the porch. When it cools, I can put some real mums out.
Come on in, and see what I was up to today.
On second thought, I think I will have you come in tomorrow. I am beat after my long day of chores, and I am going to run up to Big Bear with my Mom in the morning. The cabin will close in a couple weeks and we need to get organized with who is taking what, and boxing up some things.
So, I will see you tomorrow with a little more Fall in the house.
