Checking In

Hi all.  I just wanted to check in with a quick post.   I have been busy getting my sewing room organized, and also working on a few projects that were waiting for me.  I bought this Halloween panel a couple of years ago and never got around to quilting it.  Since I have my new sewing machine, and it has all of the attachments I need to do machine quilting, I decided to give it a try.  It quilted up like a dream.  I did the machine quilting, and put a binding on it, then hand sewed it on while watching the Dodgers lose.  Boo Hoo.
Last Spring, I enjoyed making  my crochet Spring wreath so much that I made one for Autumn.
I freehanded the cute little mushroom and pumpkin.
These are fun to make.  I am also very busy with my Christmas items that I am working on.
I don't have much to share today.  Mainly wanted to pop in to say hi.  More soon.
XO Kris

Hi Kris, O.k. so got to know what type of new machine you got? Although I do have a machine with lots of stitches and free motion, I don't use it for that. Love your wreath. Hope you are having slightly cooler days.
Hugs, Noreen

Wow Kris! You did an amazing job quilting that banner. Is your machine one that you can program a pattern into and it goes off all by itself or did you have to manually move that thing all over to get those lovely swirls? Your wreath is beautiful too. Love the pumpkin and mushroom. :-). Thanks for stopping in to say hi to us. I've missed you.
Blessings,
Betsy

Ok.. that's it!! My goal this winter is to buy a sewing machine and learn how to use it! : ) and maybe also learn how to crochet something besides a potholder. : )
Your projects are awesome.

Love the panel...soo cute, and the wreath is just adorable. Soo busy with sewing myself. I feel like I rest once in a while and pop on my computer and see what everyone else is up to as well. I talked to Diane and here's what we were thinking. She is one of the most busy gals I know. She is soo involved in her various home schooling responsibilities that there is honestly very little time left over. She has to bring Jackie down to a learning center on Thursday's and doesn't want to have to go back up and then down again to get her so she just pops over here. Plus, she uses my machine which means she doesn't have to drag hers back and forth. I am helping her too with some of the quilting things she is not used to. Kind of like the blind leading the blind, haha. However, it is really one of her only days to sew and she doesn't get get here till 10 has to leave by 2 as well to get Jackie. And of course we have to eat in that time frame somewhere, and visit as well. As fun as it would be to sew together, she doesn't want to have to drag her machine, and honestly mine is soo big and heavy I move it only when I am forced, lol. Sooo we were thinking maybe the next time we head over to Stars and Scraps we could call you and see if your free to join us there and maybe then we could grab lunch or something too. Truthfully, I have way more time to do something like this then Diane does. She barely puts together enough time as it is to sew or get to that shop. She had a little more time in the summertime as of course school was not going on. Email me your telephone Kris if this sounds good to you. We both think it would be very fun to get together.
