Clog In My Blog

It happened again.  I never thought it would.  It happened once before, and now this time, is the second time!   I have a clog in my blog!  I have nothing to say.  Nothing to blog about!  No photos worth sharing!  What has happened to me?  I hope it doesn't last.  Because I love blogging!  I love reading all of YOUR blogs!!!   It's not that I haven't been busy!  I am always busy.   Since I have moved my sewing room to the front of the house, I am loving it, and sewing nearly every day.
I have recently been working on a quilt a long that is hosted by Lori Holt from Bee In My Bonnet  She has been posting the blocks that we are to do via her Insta Gram feed.  Most of them are from her book Quilty Fun.  And a few of them are new creations that she has drawn up and made tutorials for us on her IG feed.  It has been so fun, and the group is all posting their pictures for all to share.  There are some very creative people out there!
So far we have done 11 blocks.  I have loved them all.
I might redo my mug block.  I am not liking the fabric I used.  I think the present is adorable!  The ornament was so cute too.
They have all been fun to make.  I look forward to her post, and am eager to see what each one will look like!
That is pretty much it.  Nothing too exciting going on.  I had jury duty yesterday.  They catch me once a year like clock work!
I ate my lunch at my cutting table today.
Such a nice little work table, and a good spot for lunch too.
I will try to come up with something a little more interesting next time.
XO  Kris

Here are some suggestions for photos from those of us in the frozen tundra: Green grass, trees with leaves on them, flowers in bloom, sunny blue skies and folks who are outside not bundled up in puffer jackets, earmuffs, gloves and snow boots!! Love that quilt!!

Best,
Bonnie

I love the quilt and it inspires me to make something Christmasy even though it's quite close to the holiday and I may not complete it on time. I think I agree with you re your thought on possibly re-doing the mug with a different fabric, but if you leave it as is it will be fine. xo

I'd say that you're like me and have been just too darn busy to blog and forget to take pictures. I've been in a bit of a blog slump as well but I'm doing my best to get back on the wagon. Your quilt is so cute, love it. I'm not on Instagram, do you need a smart phone for that?

That's a sweet quilt and a yummy-looking lunch. Glad you are having some fun with the quilt group. We all know about the blog clog. It happens to all of us! It's hard to get back into the groove and easy to let it slide just one more day, and one more day, and one more day...
Love ya - take care.

Kris.. don't worry about the blog clog.. we all have our ups and downs and when we feel like sharing and when we don't have "nuthin". It's okay and we love you no matter what. We're just glad to see you pop in and say "hey". ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Hi Kris! I'm glad you posted. We all have these times, but it's good to hear you just say "hi!"

Your quilt is so sweet. I like the present a lot too. I'm glad that you popped in to show it to us.

Happy Saturday Kris, I've got to say I totally feel the same way lately-it's hard getting new photos and until I decorate for Christmas, there isn't much to share about. I too love visiting others and getting inspiration. Love your new quilt, I'm happy you are enjoying your new space.
Lots of love,
Noreen

Sometimes I feel that way too Kris - having nothing to say. Since I opened my Etsy shop I haven't had the time to blog as much. But I do enjoy blogging like you. Let's don't stop, okay?

Your Christmas quilt is very pretty, Kris! I can see you have been enjoying sewing more now that you have more space. It is such a busy time of the year for everyone --I think blogging take s a bit of a sideline in everyone's priorities from time to time when life is busy! Enjoy, and have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

See, you did have lots to say. That is what friends do they just talk about what is happening, it may not be super exciting and then again it might be, but it is just the conversation that counts.
Hugs and might I add maybe you are to busy!
Hugs,
Meredith

Your quilt blocks are charming, Kris! You are so creative! We all get a clog in our blog sometimes! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, my friend!

You had lots to say to me, Kris :) I love to see and read what is happening in and around you! I admire your quilting and hope that one day I will do some as well. Blogging continues to challenge me, too. Not only do I wonder what to post, but then often I battle to get my computer or Blogger to let me publish anything! I depend on my blogroll to keep in touch with my blog friends and I am convinced it does not always let me know about new posts from my friends. Like yours did not show up until several days after you posted. :( However I am thankful that it did show up and that Blogger is a free service :) Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!!! xx

I think I had a bit of clog blog disease too. I lost my motivation there for a while even to the point that I thought I wouldn't be back at all.

But isn't blogland wonderful? I have had emails from fellow bloggers across the globe asking if I was okay and whether I would be back. That was enough to give me a kick in the butt that I needed and start up again. It was hard to know where to begin, just like starting all over again.

I think I may have a tidy up on my blog in the New Year, nothing like a new look to keep me motivated.
