Borrowing a saying

I read this on Ginger's blog, and I can't stop thinking about it........

It is said that, " Seven Days Without Prayer Makes One Weak "

I think I became "prayerful" if that is a word, about 5 years ago. This time of year, and this month especially, brings with it some pretty painful memories of losing my Dad. I can remember praying through the night, and then waking up with my first thoughts being pray for a miracle. My Dad died on October 27th, five years ago. We didn't lose him though. I know exactly where he is, and we will be with him again. For now, he lives with us in our hearts, every day.

What a sweet, heartfelt post. I too believe in the power of prayer and know that all prayers are answered and that our Heavenly Father watches over us with love.

The comfort of prayer and knowing we will see our loved ones again helps us get through these difficult times. It's amazing the enormous hole one individual can make in a family but we will be together again in Gods family.
My prayers are with you Kris in this special month as I know yours are with me.

Very sweet post. I, too, believe prayers are heard and answered...even when the answer is not exactly what we hope for.

I agree with Katie. It makes me think of that old Garth Brooks song "unanswered prayers". It is so true.

I am also thinking of you during what I know is a hard time of the year. I love you.

It's so much easier on our hearts when we know where it is that our loved ones go. It's hard but you know you will see him again. They do leave big holes like my mom said. We were just talking about my papa the other day about the hole he left. My prayers are also with you during this hard time of the year. Love you!!

Kris, It is so hard to lose a loved one. And sometimes prayer is all we have. Your more than welcome to use anything on my blog.
I'm glad you visited my Sunday blog. My husbands aunt and I host a Spiritual Sunday blog together the link is on my sidebar. It is where everyone can post what is on there heart rather if it's a poem or a prayer or a verse from the Bible. It is so wonderful to read what everyone has to say on Sunday's. Sometime I get more from these women than I do from going to Church. Maybe you can join in on Sunday's with us. I normally blog everyday but it seems like I have been so busy lately I have not had much time to blog. ( so sad )
I hope you have a nice day,
ginger

Ahhh, 'Unanswered Parayers'.. one of my favorite songs. I really do believe in prayer and I know how much it helped me when I had a brain tumor. Your dad will always be with you! Great post!

Oh dear sweet Kelly Ruth,
When you were sick, there were SO many people thinking of you, and praying for your recovery! And look at you now!!! That time seems so long ago. I will never forget going to see you in L.A. with Greg and Genny. Oh my!
