First attempt at cupboard makeover

I have been a very busy bee! I got the nerve to try this, and figured what the heck, I sure can't hurt these old, dated cabinets anyway! So.....I started by removing all doors and drawers, and sanded them. Next, two coats of primer. Then three coats of a creamy white paint. Once dry, all new hardware and tp holder. They are a bronzy finish, and match the light fixture. I was very pleased, and am still considering a coat of poly. Now, imagine, new oval mirrors, new medicine cabinet, and floor tile and new rugs. THEN it will be nice and new. Well, all except for the old bathtub tile. Oh well, it's a start!

You are the queen of projects lately! Looks like your bathroom has the same layout as mine does. I also painted my cabinits and was pleased with the results. I went to TJMaxx and found two mirrors for a steal and it really updated the room. I would love to replace the tub though...maybe someday!

Anyway, yours looks great.

What a change. Sounds like a quick update. Though quite a hassle...but well worth it.

I LOVE the train quilt. Reid would be in high heaven. He's a train FREAK.

The wagon pictures are adorable.

Very nice! That's a good little project but worth the effort.

Hi everyone, thanks so much on the nice comments. Lauri, that bathroom was actually the kids bathroom growing up. Now, just Drew. But it took a lot of years of HARD use!!!!! Funny how you do one thing to update, and then everything else looks even more awful!! I can't wait to put a new floor in there, and the mirrors too.
Katie, if your WalMart doesn't have the train panel, let me know, I will go get one and send it to you.
Lisa, I am calling soon!

How exciting! They look great! Joe just did that to one of our cabinets and I am trying to talk him into doing the kitchen ones, but it would be a gigantic job, I'm so impressed you did it yourself!!!
