Gifts from my Valentines!!

Valentine's Day came and went this year without the usual celebration. I was so busy with a very sick Noah the week prior, and then trying to get ready for a bridal shower. So my family got short changed. The cookies didn't get made, and I have yet to deliver my Mom's. But, on Saturday, in the middle of the hectic day, Gennifer came over with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and this framed letter. Jake said she should have put a box of tissues in the bag too, and she should have. I stopped in my tracks and read this beautiful letter Gennifer wrote, much of which I learned from my Mom. I hope it continues to get passed on down the line. What a gift! Then Drew came in with a Valentine heart box full of chocolates for me! And Erika came the next day with pale pink roses and a gift certificate to have a pedi! She gave that to me for helping her do the shower, but no matter, I felt very lucky and very loved this past weekend. And Greg got me a new feeder for my ever growing bird flock! Noah and I have been having fun watching them all morning in the rain! The bird on the left is eating the bark butter off the tree. He got me two different types of suet for the feeder and a tub of bark butter. The birds are loving it!

The flowers Gennifer got me were a mixed bouquet of roses and spring flowers and greens, and I added the pale pink roses that Erika brought me to make this beautiful bouquet!

See my new cloche?

Hey Nicole, I don't know if you will see this, but I don't know how else to get a message to you. On your blog, I can't leave a message anymore? What did you do????

For a daughter who says she "doesn't do Valentines" I think she did a beautiful job writing that sweet letter! Your flowers also look beautiful!
Simply Cakes is in Riverside off of Limonite. That is where we got our wedding cake from and are addicted to their mango filling :) Your Tiffany cake turned out beautiful by the way :)

Deb, Bark butter is a peanut butter mixture with bugs and insects in it, you spread it onto the bark, and put some seeds in it to attract the birds. They went nuts(pardon the pun) over it!
Tawny, Yes, my daughter who said she wasn't celebrating V day did good! And thank you for the nice comment about the cake. I must go check out Simply Cakes.
