New Pool Fence

For the safety of the grandkids, we decided we needed to get a new type of fence for our pool. Having a fence around the yard, and then the patio was not enough anymore. Today we had this fence put up. It can be taken down, but we had it installed with enough room around the pool so that we probably won't have to, even if having a party. I feel so much safer now. It is a self closing, self locking gate, and now there is no way to get to the pool for a child. We even went with the taller 5' fence, just for good measure. It isn't meant to be pretty, or enhance the pool or yard. But it isn't as bad looking as I thought.

Kris~That fence looks great!
It is such a peace of mind knowing that the little ones are safe!
We have hook and eyes latches on all our doors so that the little one's can't get into the back yard and play in the pool when we are not with them!
You can never be too safe when it comes to water and kids!

I bet you feel so safe now! We worry about that at my Mom's house, if you don't close the doors just right, I know that Riley can get out, and it's such a big house, that she can disappear in a second if you're not paying extremely close attention. How nice that is.

Pools freak me out with my kids around. After one summer in Texas, I'd love to have one but not til all my kids swim. Smart of you to get such a safe gate.

Glad you got your fence. We're getting ours at the new house soon too. It brings such a peace of mind having it at my parents!

I worry about that too. I have a fence separating my pool from my yard but you can get to the pool from the house so if the door isn't locked, the kiddos can get out there. When I have little ones over, I have to be very vigilant about locking the French doors.

I don't think that the fence looks bad at all. It looks great. And that is so nice that the kids can play in the backyard now too.

Hi everyone...yes, now we have peace of mind! These kiddos are getting pretty smart, and can open doors and I just worry myself silly. I am afraid Drew will leave it open, or someone...just never know!
Lauri, our setup was the same. But now we have a dog again, and letting him in and out leaves the risk of a gate not latching etc. This way, there is no question, the pool is safe! Phew!! The great thing is, you can take it down if you have an adult party, and then put it right back up! I was very please that it doesn't look as bad as I thought.

Great peace of mind. I need to figure something out at my house. Riley does love to go down to the pool too. Looks good.

I really like your fence. We need to get one of those at my mom's. I might have to get some info from you. Also, I love your dog! He is so cute in that picture...he looks like a magazine dog!

I really like your fence Kris. We have a 7 month old grandson that we watch a couple days a week and the thought of that unfenced pool out back is already scaring me to death. This is wonderful attractive option!! And what peace of mind!
