Spot of Tea?

Several months ago I found Susan over at Between Naps On The Porch. She hosted a fun thing called Tablescape Tuesday, which is now Tablescape Thursday, but anyway, I love to do that sort of thing, and I love seeing her beautiful tablescapes each week. I played only once I think. I just don't have time with babysitting my grandson and all. But every once in a while, you will find that I had an hour to play, and I will post it on my blog. I would love to see all of you do the same. Spring is here, and today I set the table for tea. The dishes are Homer Laughlin "Georgian" that I found in an antique store many years ago. They are so dainty and I love to use them. The tea cups are a chintz pattern I found at Marshall's recently. The tea pot was a bargain, as it had no lid. So I use it as a flower vase. The cute silver bunny candle sticks were a gift from my sister in law Monica for a birthday several years back. The chocolate bunny is not chocolate at all. I love him! The cookies....for shame, for shame, were not made by me, but found at BIG LOTS of all places!!! I thought they were adorable and bought them to use as inspriation for some I may do this Easter. The light pink and dark pink roses are from my garden. And the yellow daisies were given to me by my son Drew's buddy Brian, for my birthday the other day. Thanks for coming to my tea party!

I love the Tablescape idea. It's fun to have girly spring dishes, huh? I have some of my great-grandmothers. I always get them out for Easter dinner. I'll try to remember to take a picture.

Ohhh, so pretty. Isn't it fun to find something great at an unexpected place? (Really, cookies from Big Lots?!) Marshalls and TJ Maxx are great places to find treasures too, as you already know; the teacups and plates are perfect for this setting.

Kris - Beautiful table. So springy and perfect for a ladies luncheon. What time shall I be thee? I love those tea cups, very pretty. I saw Susan @ Between Naps on the Porch got those cookies too, all the way in Georgia. What a hoot. They are darling, especially little lamby. I was doing a lamby table this week but just ran out of time. Maybe next week. TTNF. Love M
PS. Love the chocolate bunny. I have it's baby but I would rather have the mama.

Hi Kris, Just wanted to let you know last week I started putting Mr. Linky at the bottom of the post...instead of at the top...normally I try to get the post up by 9:00 PM, the night before. :-) You may want to link to this pretty table setting for this upcoming TT...that would be great! :-) I love that Homer Laughlin china! I got mine off ebay...6, 5 pc place setting for around $37...which included shipping...I couldn't believe it! It doesn't have a pattern name on the back and so many of the HL chinas look very similar, I was never sure what it was. Yours looks like mine so I'll just call it Georgian from now on. :-) Aren't those Big Lots cookies just the cutest! :-) Susan
