Code 4-(For)

Last night Greg and I went to Taps for dinner and had the most delicious meals!! He ordered the Idaho trout, pan seared in a lemon beurre blanc (white wine and butter sauce) served over a bed of pilaf with baby veggies, and an ice cold honey ale. I had the Taste of Taps, with a cup of clam chowder, the skewered shrimp scampi, and petite filet mignon, served over garlic mash with baby asparagus. And a nice glass of cabernet. For dessert a hot chocolate souffle with warm chocolate sauce. Before the dessert was served, I was "resting" and Greg eyed my piece of steak and mashed potatoes left on my plate, saying " You must be getting full?" Which is CODE FOR, can I have what's left on your plate?
And he did. We were both too stuffed to eat our souffle there and brought it home for later, knowing it will never be half as good leftover as it would have been hot out of the oven in the restaurant.
Greg was planning to go very early to the mountains this morning to "check on the boat", translation=code for-GOING FISHING. Which could be why I was sewing a white trolling flag to an old broom stick handle at 10:00 last night!! He tried to talk me into coming along, as we were planning to go for the whole weekend, but we have our family photos tomorrow and I need to find something to wear, etc...etc... So last night when he tried once again to get me to go, I said, " No, I need to go shopping and do a few things at home" which is CODE FOR......I cannot WAIT to have a day to myself with no one here but me!!!! You go, fish, have fun, be gone all day, I will see you tonight!!! Don't worry about me!!!!
I got up when he did at 6:00 this morning. I went out front to put the sprinklers on and came nose to nose with a young coyote in my yard! The sky is heavily clouded over, and Greg called and said it is raining pretty good up in the mountains!
Trying to bring back some brown spots in the yard.......
You can see that Camp Runamuk is closed this weekend.
Noah goes head first down this slide and lands on his tummy like Shamu across the padded waffle mats I put on the concrete to soften his fall! KIDS!!!
Ahhhhh, can you hear the quiet!!! I love a CODE 4 DAY!!!!

Kris,
I laughed at your Code 4's. Too bad we don't live close because all Randy wants to do is go fishing. He really hasn't much yet, oh, but when we were in McCall last he did in fact go by himself and to our astonishment he came back with what looked like a gold fish. He wanted Syd and Jake to feel a real fish. We have him heck about catching such a little fish and he felt so bad he took the kids to the lake and set it free only after having dropped it on the concrete and then applying some sort of CPR so that it would swim away. He conquered.... Every time he has asked if I want to go fishing I have to tell him not really. Code for NO!
