Hungry Hump Day

It's Hump Day again. Here is a yummy sandwich for you try. I saw this on
My Yellow Farmhouse blog. Karen has one of my very favorite blogs EVER! She lives in a beautiful house that they had built recently, on a lake in Minnesota, and I look so forward to her posts! Anyway, this is from one of the Gooseberry Patch Cookbooks. I believe she lists the exact one on her blog. I have a couple of these cookbooks, and they are chock full of great recipes.
Super easy hot turkey sandwiches. You need jellied cranberry sauce, mayo, granny smith apple, cheese of choice, and good sour dough bread. Mix equal parts mayo with cranberry sauce. ( I used 1 Tablespoon of each for the two sandwiches I made) Spread sauce on bread. Layer thin sliced deli turkey meat, thinly sliced, cored apple, and cheese. Broil til cheese is melted, and either serve open face, or dig in and let the sauce run down your arms to your elbows like we did. The apple gives this such a nice subtle flavor. We loved it, and I hope you do too.

Bon Appetit!!!

This looks so delicious...can you make one for me and drop it off at my home tonight? For some reason I just don't feel like cooking!

That sounds yummy. I'm not a fan of cranberry sauce, but I may like it when mixed with mayo. I'm going to have to try it.

P.S. Yes we went to Get the Burger. MMMMMM, very good! Jason had a chocolate skae that was SO good, totally home-made!

And we also went to B's for our date night. Very good. The potatoe cips and that dip is SO good. What the heck was in the dip?? Met the bartender and he remembered you guys. And he said to tell you thanks for sending friends his way!
