Never Forget!

Today I will spend time reflecting on that terrible day 8 years ago, when so many Americans lost their lives. Put your flags out today. If you don't have an American flag, today would be a great day to get one!

I need a flag, where can I get one?

You can buy a flag at Walmart, and they range in price. You can get one for as little as 15 dollars, or as much as 75 there.

I have mine up. I should have posted about 9/11, it's sad that a lot of Americans have forgotten. Such a sad day and I'll never forget it. Thanks for the post.

Hi Chris!! It is POURING today so we can't fly opur flag - but I put my prim woodens ones out in the same spirit!!

You can email Kindra at 3guysagirlandaprimplace@live.com and she does do custom orders as time permits. Every time I show my blocks in my blog, she gets a lot on business and finishes them as she can between working as a nurse and taking care of the kiddo's. She is absolutely a sweetheart!!

I hope it cools off soon!!

Our local scout troop has a flag service. With a $30.00 donation, they come by early in the morning to put it up and before dusk to take it down. They do this for all of the patriotic holidays a year. It is wonderful to see so many flags in our neighborhood.

I suppose 9/11 will be forever etched in the minds of those of us who lived it as was Dec 7 for those who lived through that. I will NEVER forget!

Well, night has fallen, and the flag is down. I did notice many American flags flying proud today as I was out and about.
I think I have a good gift idea for my children!
Lauri, what a wonderful thing for the scouts to do. I love that idea!
And Katie......today, tomorrow and every day, I will be praying for Sean's safety. Thinking of you!

I had a post all ready for this and my computer (a new one soo frustrating) went down and I couldn't get on the rest of the day. My flag was flying too. I've read so many wonderful tributes this morning as I've been blog browsing. A day that will be burned in everyone of our memories for evermore. We will NEVER forget...

What a nice little post. I was at the AFB yesterday working and they stopped all activity at the hours the towers were attacked. There was silence...... They also participated in what they call a Parade Formation. I was not able to leave my post (haha) for I am not one of them but I sure would have liked to watch. 911 is a day imbedded in our hearts forever. I can't believe it was 8 years ago.
