Finally Friday

A few random pictures from Jake's birthday on Wednesday.
Hannah wanted to help Daddy open up his presents.  She was so cute.  "Look Daddy, this one has a note!"  The "note" was a card taped to the package!
Claire was in rare form all evening long!
She wanted to help Uncle Goo play his guitar.  I think she may be musically inclined.
I just love this picture of Drew and his beautiful girl, Diana!
Aren't they the cutest couple!!!
Switching gears now.  We had this homemade veggie pizza the other night.  It was loaded with veg from my garden.  SO delicious!
Talk about rustic looking...I couldn't find my rolling pin, so I had to hand press the dough out. Not so pretty.  What it lacked in aesthetics, it gained it taste.
On to yet another subject now.  I had a my gigi hill party last night.  I thought it would be fun to do a little summer dinner too.  I had fun preparing for it.
Chinese Chicken Salad, Garden Pasta Salad, Antipasto Salad, fresh fruit, croissants, sweet breads, and a variety of cookies and cream puffs for dessert.  It was yummy, and the party was fun.  I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did!
Tomorrow we are taking off for a few days to our local mountains.  Our friends Ron and Sue are already up there, and we will be joining them and also our friends Tom and Jae are coming up to their cabin for the weekend, and we will be doing a, "Who Can Catch Walter" fishing derby.  Sue thinks she already caught Walter over by the dam the other night!  HAH.....he is still in that lake and I am going to catch him.  Kevin and Maryose, you game?  Let's go get that Walter!   My Mom is coming up on Monday and she and I are going to be spending some time in the Copper Q.  And I plan to do a lot of crochet, reading, and relaxing!  Big Bear, here we come!

The actress who played Anne Boy. was the best, too bad is was "OFF With HEr... " oooppps better not give it away. You will love it. We too have read tons of the history books from this time.

Have a great weekend,
Kate

It was such a nice dinner you prepared for the party! And so tasty too. Thank you for the leftovers! Claire is snacking on some of the bread right now.

Your party was so fun too. I can't wait to have one now. I can't wait to get my new bags either! And I can't wait to see what you decide on!

Today I just found that Udi brands(gluten free breads)also make a pizza dough-I'm going to have to try it because I really miss pizza. Your dinner looks wonderful as well-guess I'm just hungry. Have fun fishing, hope you catch Walter, and have fun with your mom.

Thanks so much for the good good and good shopping at the GiGi Hill party. I wish we could come up, you know Kevin and I are always up for a little competition especially a fishing derby. How long are you staying? We would love to join you at some point. Have fun, and I will root for you to win. :)
