Have You Tried These Yet?

If you like the taste of  sweet & salty things.  If you like chocolate.  If you like pretzels.  You will LOVE these.
And another new favorite thing here at our house. Mesquite charcoal!!  We have a gas bbq, and a Weber bbq that I think we would have to say that we prefer using.  It gives much better flavor, and we love to use flavored wood chips like mesquite to our bbqs.  We found this mesquite charcoal at Sam's last weekend, and couldn't wait to try it.  That in combination with Mr. G's new chimney he uses to start the coals and we have new flavor to our bbqs.
They aren't shaped like the usual charcoal squares.  They are small logs.  The smell...oh my gosh.  Reminded me of summer days when I was little, and I was called home to the smell of my Dad getting the bbq going in the backyard with a good old fashioned charcoal grill for burgers, or steaks if we were really lucky!!
This is what we grilled with the these mesquite logs.
I bought the carne asada at a local Mexican Super Market.  It is already marinated, and ready to put on the grill.  Next time I go to this market, I am bringing my camera to blog it.  They had a tortialla factory inside with all of their homemade and WARM tortiallas!!  And a bakery with lines 15 people deep for fresh pan dulce and confections that made my mouth water!  And produce like a farmer's market. And CHEAP!!!!   It was fun!
Until next time.......Bon Appetit!

I've been wanting to try those M&M's but I know I'll eat the entire bag!

We have a Charcoal Grill too & Sean loves using his wood chips and I think the flavor is so much better than Gas. We don't have a Sams, I wonder if they sell that Charcoal at Costco, I will have to check it out!

What time is dinner again?

Wow.. I have not seen those M and Ms yet around here. I will be keeping my eyes peeled though.

Ok...so, sorry I have been confusing you with all my yarn talk. Back in May Lucy {luc} Attic 24 got togethre with a UK yarn shop and put together a LUCY PaK. It was reasonable, so what the heck I ordered. Well, this little yarn shop got hit big time with orders. It took over 6 weeks for it to get her. Currently, it's out of stock. I guess she got like 400 orders to put together by herself.

Her is Luc posting with the link

So, I got my 12 balls of Luc cotton and the 8 Baby Cakes I just got.

Toodles,
Kate

So now I'm hungry Kris. I haven't heard of some of the dishes you mentioned but they sure look good. We used to have a weber but now just use a gas grill-that way hubby can bbq even when there is snow of the ground.
Have a great evening.

So everyone is talking about the new M&M’s, guess I’m need to cheat on the ole diet and try a few!

Love to get meat from the Mexican supermarket. Its’ just melt in your mouth delicious! Whish ours had fresh tortillas….that’s too neat! When I’m feeling lazy I’ll drop in our local Mexican supermarket, pick up some marinated chicken, cook a big batch of it and eat it on salad throughout the week. It’s a quick and healthy lunch!

Your dinner is making me hungry!

Any open invitations to dinner? My that dinner plate looks delicious! We have not replaced our grill since moving to our new home...and I'm beginning to think it is about time. We don't grill that often but when you have a taste for "fresh off the grill"..you just can't fake it inside! Now, as for those M&Ms..I am total "purist" when it comes to my M&Ms (which are my absolute favorite) and just don't understand why they keep messin with the real deal!!? :) Just keep mine original (well, ok...peanuts are ok, too!) :) Have a great day!

I can't stand it any more - have to tell you what a great cook and inspiration you are. I-(my family and I) tried your marinated shrimp tacos. They were delicious. Can not get over the sauce. I am now claiming it as my own. Have used it with fish tacos as well as chicken tacos. Being of Mexican descent - I must tell you - you are one good cook of Mexican food. I also bought an ice cream machine and am waiting to try it out. Since I live up the 15 a bit from you (in Murrieta) you may find an uninvited guest at your next cookout - my nose will guide me. Can't wait to see what your next dish will be.

Terry (p.s. I also have 2 grandbabies under the age of 3 - both in diapers and going crazy until I read your doings with your "babies".
