Big Bear Vacation Part 1

We spent a beautiful week up in our local mountains and had the best time.  Our friends Ron and Sue were already up there in their 5th wheel.  They leave their fiver up for a couple of months to escape the desert heat.  Our other friends, Tom and Jae were up there at their cabin for the weekend.  The boys all had golf planned for the first morning.  Excuse me...the boys and Jae!!  Jae is my friend.  Tommy G. is her hubby.  Also my friend.  And Greg's good buddy!
And here comes Ron.
While they were golfing, my brother David, and his wife Glenda came up.  We took the boat out to cruise the lake.
After the golfers were done, we all met up for lunch at the Big Bear Mountain Brewery.
That's me on the left behind Sue, and my sister in law Glenda on right behind Jae.
Then the fellas posed for a silly picture at the shop next door.
L to R... Mr. G (Greg), Ron, my brother David, and Tommy G.
Before David and Glenda left, David helped Greg get the BBQ put together.
TADAA!
That night we broke it in with some chicken and artichoke sausages and grilled zukes and banana squash from my garden.
And we ate out on the back deck at sunset.  It was beautiful.
Earlier that evening I was using my telefoto lens and trying to get some shots of the Scrub Jays that come for the peanuts we put on the rail.  Oh if only this one wasn't blurry!  I had it on a manual setting, and it should have been on a level surface, not in my hand.  But I thought it was fun anyway, so I am sharing it.
And the next morning, I took these.
This one I took in the late evening with the sun behind me.
The sky in Big Bear is always a brilliant blue!
On our way to the marina the next morning.
I LOVE this picture!  Ducey LOVES the mountains!  You can see the blue lake in the background of this picture.  He was excited to get out on the boat!!
He is a good boat dog!  He loves to help bring in the trout!
And he loves the ducks!
And in the evenings, he loves to do this.
See you tomorrow for more Big Bear Fun!

Jealous...that's it.. I'm just jealous tonight as we swelter here in the midwest heat, with no lake, boats, evergreen in sight. Oh what a fun trip you had. Can't wait to see more.

Looks like a great time! You guys sure do have some great friends (and family!). In the pic of the boys golfing, you should say the boys and Jae... looks like she golfed too right?

I like that blurry bird picture. It's neat.
Can't wait to see more!

Hi Kris, What a wonderful area-so very beautiful. So what type of dog is Ducey? Looks like a labradoodle or goldendoodle, maybe a wheaton.
Have a good evening.
