Busy-Busy-Busy!!!

It is truly here!  The holidays are in full swing.  There is something going on now nearly every day until Christmas.  I shared photos of our decked halls last week. But they didn't feel truly decked without the lighted garlands.  So I spent some time last week to finish it all.  I just used my lit garlands this year.  Left a few packed away in boxes.  Yesterday I met friends for lunch while Noah was in school.  We had a lovely little get together.  I just don't get to see these ladies as often as I would like.  We each had a little something for one another.  I brought them each a hand knit dish cloth and a Christmas soap.
Some Christmas tree bling from my friend Maryrose.

Some holiday bubbly from Carol and Margaret.  Carol knit the darling little scarves for the top of the bottle.  I just love this idea.  What a fun and festive way to give a holiday bottle of wine or champagne.  I know I will be knitting up a few of these tiny bottle scarves this week!
I will never tire of my red front door!  I love the color as a backdrop for each of the holiday wreaths and baskets I hang up.  Here are the door swags I hung for Christmas.
The fireplace is complete now with our holiday wreath hung.  This was made by a friend of ours, and given to us as a wedding gift over 31 years ago!  She and her mother owned a quilt shop in our town, and even though I was not into quilting back then, I loved this "quilted " gift.   I hang it every single year.

Some holiday greens have been added to the mantles.  And now they are ready.

This holiday tray I filled with apples and some small holiday plush and pillow.

The lighted garlands.
A giant hurricane filled with ornaments.
This garland I bought up in Big Bear at one of the shops my Mom and I love.  I like to keep it up all winter long.  It looks so real.
Another lit garland in the foyer.  Foy-YER....Foy-YEAH...whichever you prefer.   : )
A VERY old nativity scene.  This belonged to my Dad's mother.  Many of the pieces have broken along the way.  This is all that is left now, but I love it.
The buffet in the kitchen.
As we enter into the hustle and bustle of these busy Christmas days, my wish for you.................................
Is that each of you enjoys the magic of this holiday season, with those you love.

Soo pretty. I love seeing everyone's festive decorations. I have a couple of those lighted and decorated garlands...soo pretty. I have timers on everything and it turns around around 3:30 but I could practically leave it on all day, haha... I love your nativity scene. How special that it was your grandmother's. How I love things like that. My mom has one that she's had for years and years...reminds me of growing up and our Christmas seasons...Enjoy this season Kris...
