Flower Power

I am teaching myself to make flowers.  With the left over bit of my hand dyed yarn, I knitted this headband.  Was hoping to have enough to make one fit an adult.  But this is more for an infant.  Then I made this rose.
I love making flowers.  After Christmas, I will be making many more!
There was no infant in the house to try it on.  Only Pablo.  He wasn't crazy about wearing it, but he did. For me.  Thanks Pablo!
The headband I made by doubling the yarn, and then just knitting rows.  I think I cast on about 8 stitches.  Sewed it together when done.  Then by following a tute on this flower, made it with a dark pink cotton. Would have been better in a lighter weight yarn.  It was just for practice though.  This flower has the last row of petals done with a back post stitch, so that the petals stand up.  Love that.
Been busier than a one armed paper hanger.  Pics tomorrow.  Going to go lay heady down now.  Still raining.  Day 5...going on day 6!  Yikes!

Kristy,

You NEED to start an ETSY shop of all your creations!!!!!!!
I just spent a fortune on hats and headbands of that same kind!!!! You could make a killing, plus yours are cuter!

Hi all, I did think about sending it to Ellie Jo. But it is my first one, and not worthy.
I will make another one for Ellie Jo. Thanks for the nice words everyone.

OH, and ps...to Katie, I have noticed that some of what I am seeing on Etsy shops, I have made here myself as well. I made scadoodles of those little fabric wallets last year. Pleated Poppy has them in her shop. I made them and gave them with a gift card inside. I will have to give some thought to Etsy....hmmmmm....

YES, YES, YES!! I really do think you should start an etsy shop. With as much as you make, as often as you do, and as much stuff as just myself see's on here that I want, you would do so well!!

That headband IS totally Ellie Jo worthy ;)
