What's In YOUR Fridge?

My daughter Gennifer did a post last week called What's In Your Bag?  I thought that was fun.  I was amazed at how much the contents of her purse looked like mine.  She is very organized like I am.  A place for everything, and everything in it's place.  After we got home from shopping at Sam's yesterday afternoon, I spent some time washing fruits, and preparing some snack foods for the week.  I have to say, going on Weight Watchers takes a lot more time and planning as far as meals go.  So instead of what's in your bag, I thought it would be fun to do, What's In Your Fridge!
On the door.
In my Rachael Ray magazine, she does a feature article where she interviews a celebrity about what is in their fridge.  I love to look inside the fridge of other cooks.  My Mom's is a good one to poke around in.  She always has something good in there.  My kids all say that they love to come home and open up the fridge because it is always so well stocked.
A couple of new favorites are coconut milk creamer for my coffee, and Almond Breeze vanilla flavored almond milk.  Only 40 calories, or 1 pt, for a cup.  I don't like milk, but I love this!  I have it in my oatmeal and cereal, and it is so good!
Jarred pizza sauce, pizza dough from fresh & easy, jarred roasted garlic, sun dried tomatoes, organic ambrosia apples....all some of our favorites.
Fresh eggs from my neighbor, plenty of ripe avocados from our trees, micro greens...love these on a sandwich!  Mr. G's stock of double dipped peanuts from Henry's, hard boiled eggs for my protein snacks.
Fresh strawberries, blueberries and blackberries on the left, washed and ready to go.  Don't wash your strawberries though, until you eat them.  They spoil very quickly and washing them to keep in fridge makes them spoil even faster.  Fresh peppers, and baby spinach.   Lots of eggs for the egg white omelets in our future this week.
Weight Watchers has a completely new system.  Almost all fruits and veg are free now.  I have always been a huge fan of fresh fruit.  Especially summer fruit.  In the summer I garden, and love to eat the fresh picked veggies.  We grill them a lot on the bbq too.
Have you tried these Veggie Straws?  They are really good.  I bought a jicama and cut it all up into match sticks for snacking.  I love jicama.  I was asking Erika yesterday if she liked it.  She said she thought it was tasteless, like celery.  I think it is sweet, almost like an apple.  I love to dip it in hummus.
Aren't these eggs pretty?  I can't wait to get my chickens and have fresh eggs every day.
So.....what's in your fridge?

I love the array of colors that fresh eggs come in :)
I need to get back on track--we're headed down the shore for a bit this summer and I need to tame the jigglies :)

I think I will copy this post! I love that your fridge is so stocked. I will have to do a before & after because my fridge is nearly empty! I need to go to Staters & Sams today. I tried going to Sams last night, I didn't realize they close so early on Sundays?! I got there as they were closing at 6:30! =(

Eri...that would be a whole other post. The hooch is in the outside fridge!!
Tawnya....yes...do it. I want to see what is in everyone else's fridge too. Some people sneak a peek inside medicine cabinets...I sneak a peek in fridges!!!

My fridge is REALLY similiar to yours, though I don't have any dough. I do have all the fresh fruits and veggies which I eat in abundance. They are considered mostly "free" on Jenny Craig too. Fun idea... ; )

Wow...your fridge is well stocked!! I love jicama too, especially on salads. I make a small fruit salad every morning for Don's lunch...he pours his yogurt over it...Those eggs are very pretty...they remind me of the eggs from my sil farmette!

You definitely have a well stocked fridge! I need to do my shopping for the week, we are in desperate need of everything. I jumped on the weight watchers band wagon and love that fruit is free! Those eggs are so pretty!

Your fridge is so much more fascinating than mine. It was fun to look at all the good stuff though. I also have a weird obsession of trying to see what other people put in their grocery carts. I feel everyone's stuff is always better than mine. Now, let's check out your fridge in your garage, shall we?

Hey Kris, I love this post-your fridge is indeed well stocked. Ours looks bare in comparsion. Lots of fresh fruit for me as well as some fresh veges but I need to stock up again. I have almond milk and some creamer too as well as goat yogurt. I love veggie straws but we don't belong to costco or sams so getting them is dependent on my girls. Good for you with WW; I've done it so many times in the past-a great system. Now that I am gluten free I'm keeping the weight off and I'm exercising more.
Have a warm day.
Hugs, Noreen

I love this.. We are in dire need of groceries, so after we go, I'll do this too :) I LOVE jicama.. I agree with you, I think it's sweet.. and i love the crunch.. I have to tell you, I went to Erika's the other night, and stocked up on oranges and avacados from your grove.. The oranges are AMAZINGLY juicey, sweet and yummy.. We haven't tried the avacados yet, but we've got some yummy dishes in mind to make with those :) Thanks for the delicious snacks :)

WOW, I am impressed...I won't show you my fridge! I never knew that about strawberries either, that explains why mine go bad so fast!

What a great post! My fridge isn't half as well stocked or organized as yours ... giving me some "food" for thought here! I'm loving the new Weight Watchers. Glad to know you're there too. Have a great day.

Thanks for a peek into your fridge. It looks so healthy in there. I wouldn't want anybody to see inside mine right now, but I'm not saying why. ;)

I've enjoyed this, my first visit, to your blog. It's such a happy place!

Mom, my fridge always looks like that. I clean it out every week on trash day! However, it is not always filled with such healthy thing as it is now. I am known to have other things in there too, like girl scout cookies, rum sauce, bleu cheese dressing, etc...etc...etc....

That's my favorite part about RR magazine!!! Funny huh??? You fridge is well stocked I would say! With 3 older kiddos and their many friends coming and going, it's hard to keep it stocked!

I love reading your posts! I think we have a lot in common - my son came back home too last August (he is still there - do they ever really leave??!) I have started crocheting again and I am trying to follow weight watchers too. Good luck! Keep us updated!

Hi Kris, Hey, we eat allot the same! Must be the CA lifestyle? We got an ozonator a few years ago and using that keeps our fruits and vegies from spoiling as fast. Really, it is amazing. It also removes pesticides so I can buy some foods that aren't organic and save $. I know we've paid for the machine easy with the savings on non-spoiled food as well as being disappointed in thinking that I'm gonna make something and then to find the fruit or vegie is spoiled!! I can tell ya more about it if you're interested ;)
