Sprockets In My Pocket

Ever since I saw these cute Sprocket pillows on one of my favorite blogs...Cluck Cluck Sew, I have been dying to make some.  Last night I sat down at my sewing machine and made one.  If I had more fiberfill, I would have made more.  You can bet a trip to JoAnn's is on my list of things to do this week.  Go here:   http://www.cluckclucksew.com/
for a great TUTE on how to make these fun pillows.  You can download and print the templates in two sizes.  A large one and small one.  She gives step by step instructions for making this pillow.  Templates and curved piecing aren't so scary!  I even used a kit to make my first fabric covered button to tuft the pillow.

My button I had to mess with a few times to get the back piece on.  So it was slightly off skew.  But at 1:00 a.m., I decided to let it be, and put it on.  I wanted to finish and go to bed.  This is my practice pillow.  I will be making more.  What fun these would be in a kids room, with fabrics to match their beds.  Or I am thinking if I can find fabric for outside that I like, and making them for the yellow wicker seat. Or for your RV.   Fun, fun fun!  Go make some!!

Super cute pillow Kris. I like the color combination you used. Your quilting night with your friend looks like it was a lot of fun too. :-) Hope you are enjoying a nice week.

I love the spring look of these and from what you said they are pretty quick to make but then again I have to remember you are a pretty amazing quilter. I also want to say that I wish I was there over the weekend for your get together and quilt time. I'd love to make these but have the other quilt to consider. I may pass this onto my girls though for the grands rooms.
Hugs today.

That is so cute! I'm going to have to try it. If it turns out ugly I won't be posting about it. Thanks for the tutorial link. I think one in oranges, yellows and lime greens would be so cute out on your yellow chair!
