Boat Parade

Last night we went to my Mom's beautiful home for a July 4th (on the 3rd) BBQ and boat parade.  Half of my people were missing due to a bad cold that is circulating.  Of which, I fell victim to yesterday myself.  By night fall, I was feeling pretty lousy.  Here are a few pictures.  I didn't take many, and I didn't get a lot of good ones.  My Mom was moving around too much, so I didn't even get a shot of our hostess with the mostess.
Here is a photo of our oldest Gennifer and her oldest, Hannah.  Our little Hannah had to go get several stitches above her eye on Saturday.  She was so brave.  Thank goodness I was en route to their house when it happened, so I was able to rush them to the urgent care.  It was not a fun day!!!
You can see that she is just fine.  She had a ball.  Eating sweet treats, fishing, boating, and being the only kid to be doted on.
Driving the boat with her Geeps.
My older brother David, being silly.  Nephew Nick to the right of David.
My youngest brother Tim.
My sister in law Glenda with Nana.
My niece Deanna and my nephew Donavon's wife Kaylen, racing us in the kayak.
The Grill Master.
Nephew Chad and Gennifer getting their grub on.
Chad and his beautiful girlfriend Santina.
As evening approached, and the soft glow of lights began to appear over the water, we took our spots to wait for the parade to come by.  I didn't take any pictures of this but my daughter Gennifer did, so you will have to hop over to her blog in a day or two to see those shots.
This last picture was actually taken on Saturday, but I love the bright red of my brother's car, and thought it fitting for 4th of July.
Happy 4th everyone!  Have fun and be safe!

So glad to see you were able to enjoy the rest of the weekend. Please, let little ms. Hannah know that the G.B. had stitch in the exact same place years ago. Not a scar to see. She was one lucky gal. Still recovering today from a busy weekend.

It sounds like a wonderful family get-together save for the stitches. I'm sure she'll heal quickly. I hope the rest of the holiday was great. Blessings...Mary

Looks like a great day at your moms. Poor Hannah and Genn, stitches are never fun especially when they are so little. I told Genn it was probably harder on her than Hannah....but that doesn't make it any easier. Have a great week.
