Hump Day

We had a busy morning!  Jake and Clairey came to play on the sport court.  Hannah was in school, and Noah has no school on Wednesday.  Shortly after they arrived, my Mom came over to visit and to bring a birthday gift to Drew.
The kids ran around like crazy, and my Mom and I enjoyed sitting in the swing with the warmth of the sun on our legs to warm us.  You know that perfect kind of warmth that makes you drowsy?  Nice!!
Drew's birthday is tomorrow and he has to work, so Mom brought his gift out today.  She made him a huge pan of her homemade Macaroni & Cheese!
And something fell out of the card that resembled money, but it was a blur because he stuffed it into his pocket so fast!
My Mom looks about 4 feet tall in this picture.  She is average height, but Drew is 6' 5" so everyone looks small next to him.  He wasted no time having a plate of Grandma's good Macaroni & Cheese!!!!  You know where I learned to cook don't you?
Here is my Mom trying out my new comfy chair in the play room.  She had an important call she had to take.
I am still tearing my house apart looking for my Valentine pillows?  I can't find them anywhere.  I put my Valentine hearts on my winter door wreaths.  I use the same wreath I put up after Christmas, just a plain winter wreath, and add the wooden hearts I painted with chalkboard paint and put a Valentine message on.  Then tied them on with some pretty red gingham ribbon and a piece of heart ribbon.

Dolly has her winter scarf on, just in case we ever dip below the 70's again here in sunny So. Cal!!
Noah just left with his Daddy so I am going to go shopping for my little boy.  He will be 23 tomorrow!!! Where oh where does time go????
XO  Kris

If you ever find all that "missing" time let me know - I've got a few afternoons I'd love to do over (in the good way - not the bad. leave the bad ones there when you find them :)

Also--saw this link today and immediately thought of you:

WOW! Drew is tall. It's fun to have tall sons, mine are 6'3" and 6'4".

Judging from all of your pins on Pinterest, it looks like you're going to do some fun things in your laundry room. I can't wait to see it.

Girl, you look like you are a new mom not one with a 23 yr old. Your mom looks incredible and she looks so fun-you are blessed!!!! I want my girls to enjoy me like you do your mom. Sounds like a fun day; have a great evening.
Hugs, Noreen

Those wreaths are just too darn cute. I know where to go if I am hungry, although it would take awhile.

WOW! 6'5" is REALLY tall...HAPPY BIRTHDAY to him. I LOVE your wreaths. What a good idea. I was just telling Jeff I need a winter wreath. I have a Fall one, a Christmas one, and a springtime, but NO winter. Hope you enjoyed your shopping...

Love the hearts inside the wreath.....that gave me a great idea for a hanging bucket I've had for years and have never known what to do with it......I'll snap a shot of it and let you know how it turns out.....

Time does fly doesn't it?! My baby turned 23 a month ago. How is it that they get older and we are still only 29 or so??!
I love your wreaths. I hope you find your pillows - I would love to see them. I don't think we will see anything under 70 degrees again until December! Have a great rest of the week!!

*H*A*P*P*Y* * *B*I*R*T*H*D*A*Y*!*!*!* to your son! What did you buy for him? My daughter's birthday is on the 8th and it's hard as she's in Ohio now.. I guess she'll get an Amazon gift certificate. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Hi Kris, Mom looks right at home in your new chair. Homemade Mac & Cheese, yum! Yes, you sure do have your moms talent. Drew is one tall boy. My hubby is 6 3 12, (or he use to be) probably shrunk a bit. lol! He kindof dwarfs his 5'
4" wife. Your little mouse is cute and I love your wreath. The idea of painting the hearts with chalkboard paint, clever girl! I just bought a Qt. to touch up my chalkboard. Hubby said, "what are you going to do with all of that paint?" Oh don't you worry I'll use it. Happy Birthday to your son!
Hugs,
Jann

LOVE the wreaths! They look darling on your doors. Glad you were able to sit and relax for a bit in the sunshine, reading about your weekend wore me out! :) I sat on the back porch for an hour, yesterday.....today we are under a Winter Storm Warning and expecting 6-18 inches of snow! I'm hoping we get snowed in!!

Hugs,
Deb

I could use a big plate of your mom's mac & cheese right now! YUM. That sounds so wonderful. And what a great birthday present!

I threw a hissy fit a couple of hours ago...feeling sorry for myself for having to be on this diet was at the root of it all. Ugh. It's so hard!

Love your valentines decorations. Hope you find your pillows. You'll probably find them when you pull out the Easter or Halloween stuff. Ha-ha.
