White Wicker

The other day, I acquired this set of wicker.

I cleaned it well, and will spend some time next week painting it.  And then, either purchase or make cushions for the seats.  Right now now it is on my patio with some old cushions on it, and mismatched pillows.  I sat there and had my lunch yesterday.
I found this picture on a blog I enjoy.  She is an antique nut, and blogs from her home in France.  I was struck at how much this wicker looked like mine.

I can't wait to get this set all spiffed up.
Today is the pig roast next door.  I can smell the fire and hear the activity going on over the fence!  I went out to feed the chickens, and stood for a while listening to Christopher's excitement!!!
Hope you are  having a great long weekend!!!
XO  Kris

White wicker is so inviting and pretty. I had some years ago and it didn't hold up to being left outside on the deck. I should have known better! I know that pig roast is going to be a blast. Sounds SO fun!

Have fun at the pig roast. My vegetarian self remembers those events fondly. Can you recall the name of the blog with the wicker picture? Looks lovely.

I am imagining you really enjoying the wicker set and am curious to see how you will cushion it(: I have a friend who has two wicker chairs in her living room. They are attractive, comforable and wear well. I think you will be happy with yours for a very long time!<3

I love wicker, too! It's light and strong, especially the rattan wicker. We never ever spend time on our front porch since our back deck is so nice with our little pond and waterfall.. but I'd still like to set up a wicker set to enjoy on occasion. We have a porch swing there too. Can't wait to see what you do with yours! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

It looks great already, looking forward to seeing your choice of cushioning, no pressure though lol. I love wicker, we opted for wicke furniture in our conservatory, my desk chair is white wicker & I daren't say how many white wicker baskets I have with pretty ditsy rose fabric linings in them ;0). Lovely blog, glad I came across you, beautiful family and that pool looks so inviting for dipping ones toes into.

Will certainly be following you.

Love the wicker, but gross out at the pig roast! I think some lovely crochet or knitted cushions would look lovely on your furniture.
Happy Monday,

Hi Kris, Happy Memorial Day to you.
What wonderful wicker pieces you got; I only have one plastic wicker-looking chair but would love more. Sounds like you've had a great weekend. You'll have to read about mine tomorrow.
Hugs, Noreen

sorry i've been mia lately. my depression has hit pretty hard this last weekend. my 16 y.o. and his father came to me friday and told me that my son was unhappy and wanted to move in with his dad. needless to say i feel like my kid has died. i've been going through all the emotions. for now i'm doing a 'trial run' this summer, letting him watch my son, giving me a break a bit. but i just don't know what is going to happen. raising kids is just hard. i wanted to pop in and at least say HI, as it's been forever it seems .
