We are back from our girls weekend getaway. We had a terrific time! I barely took any photos. I took a few with my iphone, but haven't transferred those yet.
We got up there Friday night. Had dinner outside on the patio, and turned in pretty early. We woke up to beautiful weather on Saturday! We had breakfast at the poolside cafe, and then went to get our cabana for the day. We spent all day relaxing, swimming, reading, napping and eating!
We had a delicious dinner at the Italian restaurant on Saturday night. Erika did my niece Deanna's hair and makeup and she looked so cute!!!
She had to have a little lip gloss touch up before her photo.
Deanna is an incredible athlete, and prefers to be in her shorts and t shirts. But on Saturday she had on a darling dress, and was looking so cute!!!!
Isn't she pretty! Deanna is my younger brother's youngest. She has three brothers, like me.
At dinner, we made a toast to my Mom to thank her for the weekend, and then like we always do, clink our glasses, and in unison say the word that my Dad always used when ending his toasts, "Brendari!"
We didn't do much gambling. It was crowded because of a special event at the Casino. So we went to our room and had dessert in bed and watched a movie.
We had our coffee in the room this morning and then went to a wonderful brunch at the hotel. We checked out and headed home to the heat!!! It was a wonderful weekend. So fun. Thank you Mom!!!!

I find myself so quickly behind on here anymore...sigh. I missed the pony tail post but I think it is really cute. I feel you on the growing out of the hair. I tried and tried it seemed for years, and then FINALLY bit the bullet and suffered it out and did it. It is soo much easier a little longer. You don't HAVE to "style" it everyday to look OK. How wonderful to have your daughter a professional to work it for you. Have a good day!

Kris - what a great time for a ritzy girl's getaway for you. Did you get some good yacking time with the girls to help you accept some of the changes that are coming? My 2 sisters really help when it comes to talking things out. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
