My Mom

Good morning friends........

This is me with my beautiful Mama.  Taken at Christmas time on my brother's boat.   I hesitated to post this today, but in my heart, I felt like it was the right thing to do.  My Mom has just been diagnosed with colon cancer.  We are still in the throes of tests and such, and are now waiting for some results to determine whether or not it has spread.  She is scheduled for surgery in a couple of weeks.  This may or may not be changed, when all of the results are in.  As  you can imagine, we are all in shock.  We are focusing on my Mom and nothing else.  Surrounding her with the love of family and dear friends.  I believe in the power of positing thinking, and I ask that if you are of the praying kind, Pray.  If you are not, then please hold her in your thoughts, and help us to surround her with your positive thinking, as we navigate our way through this.
My mother is everything to me.  She is everything to so, so many.  We have a large, close family.  And she has an amazing network of wonderful friends.  Together, we will help her get through this.  Her name is Diane.
XO  Kris

Kris my heart goes out to you and your entire family. This has indeed been a tough year for you hasn't it? I'm so glad that you gave us your mama's name. I will lift her up to The Lord daily. I know how hard this is for everyone, especially a daughter caring for her mom. I will also pray for peace for all of you.

My brother-in-law is going through the motions of testing as he just found out he has prostate cancer. It is such a scary and uncertain time, all we can do is hope and pray it hasn't spread anywhere then treatment can commence.
I hope and pray your dear Mum has a good outcome and surrounded by positive, loving people, she will come through this okay.

Hugs, Joolz xx

Sending you lots of love,

Dear dear Kris.. I know what you are going through as Dayle went through that.. but I do hope they operate soon and that they get it all. They got D into surgery within a few days and they got it all and he didn't even have to deal with chemo or radiation. I hope this is the case with your mom. I will hold you and your mom in my heart and mind and am sending her healing energy right now. Please let us know how it goes - we're here for you every step of the way. ((hugs)), Teresa

Dear friend, I have been reading and catching up on blogs and their posts, but my heart truly sank when I read this. I am sure that since you have found all this out that the first and last thought of the day is of your mother(with a million thoughts of her in between). Unfortunately none of us are immune to all the bad things that go along with life. I hope that they have found this in time that your mom can be healthy again. There are a lot of excellent medical professionals who can help in that department. I know you and your family are blessings to her and a comfort. Staying positive is half the battle, and being there for her is the other, but prayer does outshine everything else. It is free, it can be done anywhere and everywhere. And God does hear even silent prayer. He catches tears and keeps track of needs. I will keep you all in my prayers. Please keep us updated when you can.

I truly understand how hard this can be, Kris. There are so many things that can be done for your mom. I can tell from what you write about her that she is a strong woman, as are you. This will help you both tremendously in the long run. My prayers are with you all.

Stay strong! My mom was diagnosed with Colon cancer about 10 years ago. She had absolutely NO idea it was present and because of a simple test her doctor insisted on her having as part of her annual checkup it was spotted. She had successful surgery, it was "encapsulated" and had not spread. It was recommended that all of her blood children have a colonoscopy and we do so with regularity ... and are all symptom free. I do pray ... and WILL pray for your mom ... and you and your entire family. Stay strong! Linda

So sorry to hear of your mother's diagnosis. I have a tendency to getting diverticulitis if I am not careful what I eat. So I know how painful it can be. I believe in the power of prayer because I have seen the impossible become possible. The last time I had a bout, I wrote my Norwegian pen pal, who is a retired nurse and asked her to pray for me. She did and she must of had all of her friends praying because this was the shortest bout of it I ever had. Instead of weeks it was over in a matter of days. So, sweet prayers are being raised up for your dear mom. I lost my mom in 1983 at 61 due to complications of diabetes.

My heart has been heavily burdened since hearing this news. I, like so many, just can't even fathom my life without Aunt Diane. I have been faithfully lifting her up in prayer constantly and hopeful that the news comes back with the cancer being contained to the tumor.

Love to you, Kristy! Please give Aunt Diane a Big Hug from me!!
