The grounds were immaculately kept, and there were little surprises everywhere! The bar was set up for 1.00 cocktails, and they were also cooking tacos for 1.00 as well. There was a one man band and a few couples were dancing. Really a fun and festive atmosphere!
The office is located just next to the courtyard, and they had a nice little store and boutique. Greg bought me a cute cover up, and of course, we had to get a magnet, as we are getting one from every place we go to put on our fridge in the trailer.
The pool and spa are located just off the courtyard. This was a pretty area too, with bright yellow umbrellas, and chaise lounges with royal blue cushions. Also, they had these large wooden gliders located all throughout the Resort, and boy were they comfortable. The gliders had cushioned seats on either side, and a picnic type table between. Some were uncovered, and most had a sunshade canopy on top.
There is a clubhouse just behind the pool as well. And next to courtyard on one side, is a full gym. The pool is maintained at a very swimmable 86 degrees. They have adult only hours, and a small window for children only too. The bathrooms and showers, as well as gates to pool and into and out of facility, are all locked, and must have an issued code number entered on key pad to get in or out. There is a 24 hour security on premises at all times too. It is also a very dog friendly park, with several gated areas for your dog to play and take care of business.
And how many parks have a doggie spa? Well, this one does!
Warm water sprayers with three tiers for your dogs size, to be bathed. There is a large water vessel at every dog station throughout the park too, for your thirsty Fido.
The park is located right on the bay, with bay view sites being the most expensive, at 90 a night. There is also a Marina to one side, and these are the next expensive sites. We will be requesting Marina view for our next trip.
Next to the Marina is a beautiful spot in the resort, with several more gliders, and a few Palapa bar pavilions, as well as bbq's and tables for your group to gather for meals. They also have volleyball, and putting green, and beach access for launching your kayak and paddle boards.
There are great paths to ride your bike too. I sure wished we had brought ours! Next time!!!
Each space is on a concrete pad, with some that were pull through sites. Each had picnic table and full hookups.
Each site was private from the next with pretty shrubbery planted between.
We bbq'd hot dogs the first nite on our new little Smokey Joe Weber Grill.
Geeps does all the outside cooking, and I do all the inside cooking. And there was always some relaxing in between the cooking!
Isn't he cute? He looks a little like Jimmy Buffet here! Boat drinks.......
I don't know what it is about eating outside when camping, but the food always tastes soooo good!
It was a good first day, even though it was a short day there. Only a few hours. But we had a good sleep and set out for more fun on Saturday.
Come on back tomorrow for a wrap up of our weekend in Chula Vista.
XO Kris

Greg does look like Jimmy Buffet kicked back with his beverage. LOL.
That is a lovely RV resort. No detail overlooked, something for everyone. I've never heard of a campground with a dog bath but what a great idea.
I agree, food definitely tastes better at the campsite. Can't wait to see how you spent the rest of your weekend.
Wow this place looks amazing! You dinner looks wonderful!
What a fantastic place! A doggy spa! Goodness, Chloe would love that. Did I tell you before that our trailer is a Jayco Jayflight? I'm so glad you're enjoying your time camping. I hope to go out to the lake tomorrow. It's been almost two weeks because of my silly concussion. My headache wasn't nearly as bad today so I hope to go to my second home. I can't wait to see your next installment.
Blessings my sweet friend,
Betsy
Looks like Paradise! So happy you are loving life! xo
What an amazing RV park! I've never seen such a nice one. The marina would be a good view for next time. I'm glad you're getting to use your trailer a lot, good for you. So many people have one but never actually use it. We don't use ours nearly enough, but at least we have 3 times a year that we enjoy it. Geeps does look like Jimmy Buffett.. what a neat thing! I love JB so much. Enjoy yourself and have fun! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Looks like you two are having loads of fun with the trailer.
Hugs,
Meredith
What a wonderful park, filled with all the necessities and a whole lot more. I loved the dog bathing stations-how cool. Now if only we had an RV, we'd meet you and Greg there. I didn't catch the name of it, but want to find out if our friends who winter in Borrego are familiar with it-they often go to San Diego to see friends there too.
Thanks for sharing my dear friend! I always love spending time here.
Hugs,
Noreen
What an amazing resort - so "spa-like".
While in Cambodia we came across lots of Palapa bar pavilions, always full of picnicking families.
Hi Kris...
Looks like a fabulous place...and you sure had a good time!
So nice that you are enjoying the trailer so much...
Heading back to the cottage Thursday morning...
Another 3 day weekend...YIPPEE!
Enjoy your weekend..
Cheers!
Linda :o)
You have found an amazing site to visit, for sure, Kris! I have never visited one like it, but would enjoy it, too, especially the marina view. I had to laugh, too, when thinking of your site in comparison to our recent 10 days camping. You should have seen the rocky dirt road my youngest son in law had to navigate their trailer up and down...in the middle of a forest on the east side of Mt. Hood! It was a grit your teeth, go slow, and hold your breath kind of navigating, but worth it to enjoy the forest setting. I'm looking forward to viewing your next installment! xxxxxxxx
What a gorgeous RV place....it has absolutely everything you could ever want. I love that it has a cocktail hour so you can meet other campers...and what a nice pool and lounging areas. Your campsite was wonderful and so private. Wish this place was closer...ha! I would be there in a heartbeat.
