Yoo-Hoo.....Anybody Out There??????

Hello, Hi, How are you?  I have been a very naughty blogger!  I am so sorry to have been absent for so long.  Life just gets messy sometimes.  I am going to try to keep blogging, on a fairly regular basis.  I have received so many of your lovely messages, and emails, and notes, to check on me.  I so appreciate that!  I try to peek in on your blogs when I can, but that too has been irregular.
So, I have dusted off my big girl camera, and taken a fair amount of photos in these last few weeks.  I will only post a few here tonight.  But I do have so much to talk about with all of you!  So do come back soon, and I will try to keep my end of the bargain too.
I am gardening again, and it feels soooo good!  It hurt so good, those first few nights, after I had prepared the beds, and spent long hours turning soil, and getting ready.  But I am watching it pop up now, and it is so satisfying.

The front garden went in about 2 weeks later.  It is just now popping up, and I will share the progress with you.
Our yards are coming to life, and things are blooming and looking so pretty.  The Orioles are back and lapping up the grape jelly, and reaming the oranges I set out for them.
The orange trees are heavily laden with blooms, and the aroma is heavenly.
The front yard is perking up, with roses blooming as big as dinner plates .  And irises are just about ready to show their tall prize blooms.

And best of all.....guess what is in here?
Oh, the tin sign on the front may have given it away.  Greg got me a new chicken coop for my birthday!!!  It is to arrive in two weeks.  Inside this old playhouse, are a dozen chicks.  This little house makes the perfect brooder.  They will be fine in here until the new coop is built and ready.  I am so excited to be back in the chicken business!!  I have missed my chickens something awful!!
I will be back very soon my friends.  I hope that if you made your way back here, that you will continue stopping by.  I have missed all of you, and will be around to visit!
Much love....and a very Happy Spring!!!
XO  Kris

Yay! You're back! So good to see you here in blogland again. Your home looks so green and springlike. Meanwhile we're still driving through snow. It has to stop sometime, right? Welcome home Kris!
Blessings,

I would miss you more if you weren't on IG but I am happy to see you blogging, too. The garden is coming alive and your flower beds are so pretty. Can't wait to see that new chicken coop.

Hi Kris, it's nice to see your post. I haven't been posting much myself. I think a lot of bloggers have slowed down. I've noticed a lot of the bloggers still out there are more "commercial" in nature and have a lot of ads on their blogs. I've always enjoyed your writing and reading about what is going on in your day-to-day. Take care, Heather

Glad to see you back though I don't feel I've missed TOO much what with Instagram, but I sooo prefer hearing the WHOLE story, and being able to reply at more length. I don't do a lot of blogging anymore either, but I do TRY for at least once a week. Anyway, glad your back! And soo exciting about the new chicken coop. I know how you loved that in the past. My daughter did it for a while but it was A LOT to deal with with her 3 little ones. But now that the youngest is approaching two she is ready to give it another try. The eggs honestly (as you no doubt know) just cannot be beat. Soo good. Your garden is looking good too. Enjoy the rest of your week Kris!

So excited to see this post, Kris! Even though I have seen some of your IG posts, it is not the same as having a full blog post visit with you. I am looking forward to seeing how your new flock and and garden grow and with chatting with you about your other creative pursuits. I have been on a bit of a blog break and spent almost three weeks in Burbank during Feb. and March. I looked at a map to try to figure out how far away I was from you :) The sunny weather was wonderful! I hope to post once a week except when traveling. My love to you and yours! xx

Kris, I was just thinking about you. I was out working in the garden and put thinking it's time to make more compost. Glad to see you blogging again.
