Today's lovin' from the oven.

Todays baking was plain old chocolate chip and walnut cookies. I haven't made these in probably at least 2 years, maybe more. They are my all time favorite! But they didn't go too well while on Weight Watchers. And now, with all of the other baking, I figured, why not? I have to go back to Weight Watchers in January anyway! They did not disappoint!

Last night I made two big batches of chai tea mix. Oh my gosh, did it ever smell good! I brewed a cup last night and Greg and I tasted it. EVERY bit as good as Starbuck's and Trader Joe's in the tin. Don't you love my new holiday mug?

A cup of hot chai and fresh chocolate chip cookies on a rainy day. What could be better than that?

MMMMMM, those sound so good...that would have been nice to enjoy instead of having to deal with kids that smelt like wet dogs in the rain...5th graders!

Oh Tawny..that is so funny. I remember being a room mom for the kids classes and smelling THAT smell when the kids came in from recess. Hope they never make a Yankee Candle out of the that one!

Oooh, you are a bad influence. ;-) I'm so wanting to make some of those cookies now. Do you have a special recipe to share or will the recipe on the back of the Toll House chips do in a pinch?

Looks delicious! Those would be deadly for me...I'd have the entire batch downed in no time flat!

Lisa I will send you the recipe. It is from an old friend and neighbor and is a wee bit different than the one on the bag of morsels. My favorite.
