OUCH!!!

Note to self.....tap in any loose nails you see in doorway trim!!! I was pushing Noah in his highchair through the doorway from kitchen to family room to watch Dora while I was making his lunch yesterday and in my burst of energy to get him over the room dividing bump, I did not turn his highchair sideways to allow for extra room to get the highchair through the doorway and I got my finger caught up on a small nail that was sticking out of the doorway trim, and YOWZA....look at what I did. It hurt like a son of a sea cook, and it bled like the dickens! Now it is swollen and even more sore! Might have needed a couple stitches, but I don't like to go to the emergency room, and besides no one was here to watch Noah. I think I am current on my tetnus, as I tend to have a habit of requiring stitches about every 5 years or so! Maybe I can get out of cooking dinner tonight! I think I will see if that works.

Yikes! I don't go in for things like that, either. I know three have been times I should have had stitches and didn't want to deal with it, too.

Wow, I can't tell how deep it is but for sure keep it clean and put the bandage around so that it crosses the cut line. Maybe this will hold. Randy bumped his head two weeks ago on a Motorcycle peg and needed to go to the E.R. and have staples put in his head. Oh, and by the way "Mark absolutely told me that story" I have never forgotten it. Ha, men.

What is with the Grover fingers?

Anita,
I am keeping peroxide on it. It is deep. There is a flap of skin that didn't come off, and I left it on. Keeping it bandaged too. Remember the time you removed the staples from my head? Or were they stitches in my hand? I can't remember, but I know you took them out for me! How is Randy's head?
Don't worry, I know Mark told you that tall tale, and I kicked him in the shins for you!

Owie! I hope that heals fast! I have done that to a foot when a nail popped up out of the floor.

I am so sorry about your dad. Cancer is so hard on everyone. We have lost many people in our family to it as well including my hubbies 50 year old brother to lung cancer, and all 4 of our parents are survivors. It just sucks!

Oh - be careful of the garden with that cut!!(sorry - the nurse in me coming out!!)

hugs, Linda

Ouchie!!! I hate cuts on fingers, it's so annoying because we use them for EVERYTHING!! I sliced mine with a knife a couple weeks ago too, I'm with you, no doctor visit, I just bandage it up nice and tight with a few butterfly stitches and it's good as new. That looks like it really hurts!! I hope it heals quickly!

OUCHIE!!!! The last thing you want to do is get stitches in your finger. Trust me I know what I speak of. lolol I had them and it took Dennis and the doctor to hold me down just for the deading shot. Your better of sewing that baby back on yourself. Just take a shot of whiskey first. lolol Need assistance let me know. I'm here for ya.
